Isentress & Truvada have been good to me!
« on: February 15, 2011, 11:22:39 AM »
Hello All- Well one year into my Meds my CD4s are coming up. I knew that it would be a slow process because I am an older one but I am happy that my numbers are still going the right way. My new numbers are listed in my sig.
Peace
Billy

Good news Billy,

With your initial condition age, low VL, medium CD4 count, you knew your expectations: maybe a moderate, slow progress, at least not as dramatically fantastic as seen by others.( I share this age concern...)

That makes your commitment even more valuable. Thanks for sharing the good news.

Every small increment counts !

How the heck old are you? I'm a clan elder (I think).

Anyway, congrats on the rising numbers. My second quarterlies on I/T are in next week.

I'm expecting something good and insight on what's causing my energy to flag.

I hope your numbers continue on their current trajectories.

Well I think that I could be a clan elder as well, I am 55. In all honestly the first six months I had a few highs and lows concerning energy. My IDS told me that it was my body/immune system regaining control but he also pointed out that I had many of the complaints that a normal HIV- 55 year old would have. I have continued to work full time since I started my Meds and did not miss a single day of work last year and I have the award to prove it.
Peace,
Billy

Well, we can be elders together. (I've got you beat by a couple) Thankfully, I've not missed any work either, but some days have been draggy and might just be something totally different than meds or immune system. Thanks for letting me know you're first 6 mos were up and down. I'm just nearing the end of the first 6. Congrats on that award!!
