Merry Christmas !
« on: December 23, 2010, 12:19:23 PM »
I want to wish a special "Merry Christmas" to all my fellow LTSers.... may you each be richly blessed this holiday season, and throughout the new year.

For those of us who never thought we would live to see 1990 -- then 1995 -- then 2000, and now 2010 ! It's wonderful, isn't it?

I had a small epiphany yesterday, at the bank of all places.  In the teller que, I heard someone ask one of the tellers what she wanted for Christmas ....she said "all I want is an Almond Joy and a new purse, not an expensive bag, just a cheap $15 purse".    I can finally, after a lot of years of worry and struggle, say that her comical statement rang so true with me....I realized that I don't care at all about money, or material things...as long as I have what I need to 'get by', I feel truly blessed.   When I got up to her window, I told her "Jeannie, I hear you honey; all I want is a box of those Queen Ann chocolate covered cherries from Wal-Mart, and a pack of Hanes boxer briefs".  LOL

I am truly, truly blessed to be around to see Christmas 2010.   I am overwhelmed with gratitude.
For our brothers and sisters who weren't so lucky, may they rest in peace.

Love to all of you,

Alan

Merry Christmas, friend, and I hope your New Year's starts off right, and you get that damn box of cherries! :-*
