Best day ever
« on: November 22, 2010, 12:18:59 AM »
I was shocked tonight when I got a message on face book from a young lady I thought I would never see again . It was my brothers daughter who I have been looking for a long time now .

The last time I saw her was about 29 years ago ,weeks after she was born in Richmond Va . I was getting ready to come back home to Alabama so I asked if I could feed her her morning bottle , I kissed her and told I would be back , I was really excited to be an uncle . I had no idea that soon my brother and his wife would divorce and I would never see her again but due to circumstances that's what happend .

She found me tonight on Facebook , we talked , I called her father she has not seen since she was a baby and we all talked and cried and talked . She is a beautiful , remarkable young woman that I cant wait to get to know again .

My brother told her every year on her birthday he calls out for her and tells her her happy birthday and he loves her , she told him that every year on his birthday she lights a candle and wishes she could know him as she blows the candle out .

Wow, J, that's too cool!  I hope you two can connect face-to-face soon, (and your brother).  I know you're going to make a great, and fun, uncle!
