What happened to our Aids Meds Family?
« on: September 04, 2006, 12:29:54 PM »
We went to Montreal over three weeks ago! We come back and were happy for a week and everone is telling what fun they had and so on. But what happened to our family after we left each other? ???

Then there is the usually quarrel someone said this and someone said that. Come on people we are all adults. I choose this place to get support for having aids. Then I got to know most of you very close and now it seems like we all could care less what this person says or that person says. Can we all not get along and lets think about what fun we had in Montreal. ;)

I come from the mountains of Virginia. We have no support groups here. Unless you get in the car and drive two hours away just to get some support that is it. I would love to live in a place like Montreal where I can be me. Here I have to act like I have Cancer and no one is to know about my status of having HIV. It is really a shame to have to lie to someone in my family that I have Cancer. I'm tired of the lying and it's time for me to take a stand and forget what this person says or that person says and move on. :-*

I love coming here.  I can read about what is happening beyond where I live. Also to know that if I ever need to vent or tell someone my problems there will always be someone to listen to me. ???

You guys on here are my only true friends but it is sad to see everyone mad at each other. Take the time and look back at all those pictures of our trip. Play the CD and listen to the words, take the time to step back and realize what this place really means to you. I found my true family on here and remember we all have HIV. :'(

That is very true Jerry and thanks for the reminder...Hopefully we will all get back on the right track very soon and spread the love and concern and assistance for each other that has been the backbone of our website from the time I first logged on...Maybe we try to hard to change for the better and should just leave well enough alone.

Jerry, "everybody isn't mad at each other."

Some people have gotten a bit hot under the collar. That happens in every REAL family, whether biological or created by choice. Disagreements are an essential  part of being intimate together. Without the freedom to express differences then the expressions of affection don't really mean quite so much, because it means people don't feel free to be honest in every way together.

Frankly, you are always going to find yourself disappointed and in difficulties if you are going to be looking for and insisting on cheery chum stuff all the time.

I believe there is enough strength in this group to include and get past disagreements as a part of relationships here.

I urge you to trust that possibility is present here.

Hi Jerry,

Can you recall Joes tag line that states, "Life is what happens while you are making other plans".

Well, that is what is happening with many of us.  We had a wonderful time together, then we go home and get back to doing our lives, including a week of catchup work, as we all missed a week of productivity.  Add to that the commitment that I made to transcirbe Tim Horn's presentation, along with a body that is still recovering from the trip as I type, then other things that come up for seasonal reasons...... Well, we be busy people.

I have a suggestion,..  Move to Virginia Beach and get the hell out of the hills.  That environment is not good for your physical or mental health.  You know what I am talking about, and you know I am saying this 'cause I love your butt.  Take care of yourself and start to "create" a healthy environment for you, and you will have a far better life and be happier most of the time.  You can still take care of Mom, just not so close by.

OK, enough preaching.  Now time to say Amen Jerry, and get thee off thy ass!

In Love and Total Support!
The Bible contains 6 admonishments to homosexuals,
and 362 to heterosexuals.
This doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals,
It's just that they need more supervision.
