scared,but new hope
« on: October 06, 2010, 09:07:57 PM »
For twenty years I wondered how I could find a woman who was hiv+,I finally gave up hope, Then I accidentally stumbled upon these dating sites for positives. Since I got on them no body has even answered my emails and winks----then one woman did,and that's all I need. We've been talking for a few weeks now, haven't met her yet,but she's too good to be true.Right now I'm in a transition for a place to live, and it's scarry because I've got neuropathy and can't get up out of chairs or off public toilets---but there are the precious conversations that I've had with Val,and even if it doesn't go anywhere, she was a most beautiful light in the middle of an awfully dark night.

Yes, texafornian, it is pretty hard out there trying to find people who you can become good friends with and feel comfortable having this condition. The dating sites are pretty good though many persons there are looking for sexual encounters. I've been lucky to find a few persons willing to share their chats and friendship via email which has flourished into longtime friendships which have made me happy and cry because of matters of living with hiv. Some have passed away and you "just know" when that happens. No email neccesary to get the message. Others have been healthy enough even to visit me or me go to them for a few days. I didn't have any hiv pos friends until I found the site here which has been pretty good for filling a gap I had. I do have my hiv neg partner, but I just needed pos people to speak to and I didn't care if they were staright or gay. HIV does not discriminate and nor do I. I do wish you good luck finding more friends on the sites and the best of luck for good health so that neuropathy doesn't bug you too much! ;)
PS( and even if I didn't find others to talk to, I would have just turned my attention to other matters to keep my mind busy because we should not to fall into depression, not a good thing for anybody)
