Broken condom,time isn't passing
« on: October 06, 2010, 01:23:02 PM »
hi all,

i wanna share my exposure.24 days before I met a woman at bar,we drank ,we danced and after expected incident was happened in her house, at the end of ejaculation i noticed that condom has been broken, damn! i ran into the bathroom to wash my penis,it was broken since when i have no idea it could have been broken bcz she forced me to put on a condom fast when we both full drunk .and i remembered at that time a week before blwjob had been done to me by my friend with a little gift of her, there was existed a little abrasion like half size of rice grain at the bottom side on torso but im sure it wasnt open cut at skin,it wasnt losted completeness of skin it was just hardness spot underneath the skin it had,it is not dentric cell membran, isnt it?.but since then im feeling that this was a destiny of mine,im feeling regretful, furious, pity.Normally i behave so sensible in sex,im always protected i very rarely get sex one night stand indeed,if i lose the control it makes me freak out and this was the first time i was  exposed to be unprotected, and one week before from this, from btwjob that abrasion happened and after last exposure as 3 days the wound was dissappeared abruptly,it is just vanished, what a good timing.im really upset during this time period,I had done twice hiv test in my life im 27,circumcised and im going to third one with the most obscure of my fear .I m really anxious for this one ,in this period i got some sore throat but not severe i think so i got franjit last summer,i check my fever out almost everyday it is normal, but in fact i feel sick, tired, unwilling etc...i feel flu like for a while but maybe seasonal changings .

btw i should have described the scene, the woman was around 40 years old, teacher at university, divorced with two children, she was seemingly crazy and even kissed anybody inside the bar by saying me " he was my ex boyfriend, what a coincidence..?" after we took a cap for going her home her house was quite nice, in good spot ,clean, tidy etc.when i reacted unexpectedly after ejacuation that  i saw condom was  hanging out at the bottom, she just told it happens me a lot it can be broken due to my uterus structure..?.i was seeming thoughful indeed and she saw that i feel quite anxiously she told me just "dont be scared,i dont have lots of guyfriend " and  she started to ask me some trap questions as do you have lots of girlfriend bla bla...  she was scared also when she saw me so anxious maybe  she thought im thinking for her future due to i know i have some secret things i think so,it was very terrible dialog after sex, fail. in theory, how can i trust her? i cant stop myself to say what if..? i wonder...? i couldnt ask some deeply question to clarify my doubt bcz firstly she was speaking quite bad english. This thing happened in lisbon/portugal,I was there for some months, where the general percentage of poz is not a few:( and i didnt want to be an impolite person by asking persistantly same suspicious questions ...

So guys, the state is this,im pursuing this website and others since i ve fallen again feeling to be infected,i read all forums, i selected here to get of mine's chest bcz ppl are here looking more logical ,profound and previsional,i need your interpretations, should i get combo test nowadays, i already passed 3 weeks,im really scared???

OK, take a breath and listen. HIV is a fragile virus. It's much harder to transmit from woman to man than the other way around. The condom protected you until it broke. This was only a single one-time incident.

The odds are way in your favor that you will test negative. You can test initially at 6 weeks after if you want to. A negative at that point will mean that you will very likely test negative at 13 weeks for a conclusive result.

I expect you to come out of this ok. While waiting to test you need to make a real effort to focus on other things in your life. That will help to make the waiting time pass much more easily.

Good luck and keep us posted.

today I woke up again by struggling against with the question of what if...etc!. i decided to stop by a big policlinic, which one is specialised predominantly HIV circumstances.I got HIV combo test and they gave me a result 2 hours after;

it is written on report after 27.days of incident:

HIV-COMBI               negative(0.35)

initially why they need to declare this index number although yet it is irrelevent? they said me that the crucial thing is to be poz or neg in report and why it is changing according to different numbers and times of tests?
can it be a good sign that i will get likely a neg again at conclusive report 90 days after?

You're getting caught up in complaints about details. The important fact is a negative result is always a welcome event. Even though yours is too early to be conclusive, many who are seroconverting already would test positive at 27 days since the average for seroconversion is 22 days.

I expect you are ultimately going to test negative. Meantime you really need to make an effort to focus on other matters in your life. And don't bother saying you're too worried to do that because I can tell you that response isn't going to fly here.

Cheers.

today i learnt a new info, which made me horrified again.it was this;P24 is an antigen of HIV-1 and i got a P24 antigen combi test at 27. day ,i was little bit relax due to result of antigen test in these time period, but i ve misunderstood something.my exposure had happened in Lisbon, where HIV2 is highly visible and 27 days is not enough to diagnose antibody in blood what an unfortunate guy I am.I locked up myself to this ambiguous fear, can anyone enlighten me ?,does anybody knows that HIV2 would be determined by P24 antigen test?

You need to chill, no kidding.

Your risk was a low level one and I expect for you to test negative at 13 weeks. If you keep looking for more things to worry about either through the net or elsewhere, believe me you will find them. All to no good purpose of course. So instead of looking for very unlikely problems like HIV2, you need to make a real effort to focus your attentions on other matters in your life. And don't bother saying you are too worried to do that, because I can tell you that kind of a response won't fly here.

Now, get on with your life. You can also test at 6 weeks. At that point assuming you are negative, the likelihood is that you will continue to test negative at 13 weeks.

hi Andy,

I am going to negative. My 45 days post combi test is neg. Im glad to know and share this with you and in additional Id merely like to share this coincidence.90th day of my exposure that i will get a new test for conclusive result is almost the first day of my military service stuff.I will have to fulfill my soldiership duty.I am now 27 age,it is weird times of my life indeed, somebody had told me 27 is a great age.Yes i know exactly how might have been going on eventually ; either i will appear an author as a new Dostoyevski or a potential rockstar who has commited suicide at military stuff.Pardon me for my irrelevantly loquaciousness ,just came out a crumb of black humor:)

It's very good to hear that you have tested negative at 6 weeks. Given the low level of your risk I expect you to continue to test negative at 13 weeks.

For future reference make sure you are always using fresh condoms that fit you properly when you have vaginal or anal intercourse.

Cheers.
