Movie Recommendation
« on: August 20, 2010, 08:29:53 AM »
Morning (or afternoon depending on where you are) POZ friends,

I just watched a movie and I thought it was really good.  It is called "La Mission" with Benjamin Bratt, who by the way is sooooo hot, sexy, and Latino (all the things I love).  Don't want to give away the whole plot, but basically Benjamin Bratt is a tough ex-con who as a single parent is raising his teenage son.  He discovers that his son is gay, and doesn't take it well to say the least.  Very good movie.

Bottom right (Dinner): Prezista, Norvir, Isentress
Bottom left (Bedtime): Sustiva, Trazodone (2), Lipitor, Septra (no longer taking this)
Center: Alprazolam (Xanax)
Not shown: various vitamins & supplements

I often pass Cinema Village on my way home from a friend's place, and as always when I pass a movie theatre, I stop and read the reviews or ads for movies.  A while ago they had a whole review of this movie, La Mission, posted outside; I read it and thought "that sounds good, I'll make a point to go and see it."  As often happens with me these days (incipient Alzheimers?) I then completely forgot all about it.  Thanks for the reminder!

thanks for the heads-up.  it sounds good.  i've just added it to my queue along with a Animal Kingdom, an Australian crime thriller that apparently was well received at Sundance
