Hello guys, first off, I'd like to commend the mods for voluntarily doing a great service to people in need.

Now on to my concern, last sunday(aug 1), i engaged in deep kissing and unprotected blowjob with my recent girlfriend(she got tested on july30 for hiv,and came back negative, although i didnt see the paper itself because the test was mandatory for her work and they dont give back results if they dont have problems with it).

The thing is,she has a small 'sore' in her mouth as a result of allergy(about 1/3 the size of a grain of rice) . Now, I only agreed to do this because I saw that the wound has already dried up. We proceeded to kiss and she did unprotected oral on me on the bathroom with the shower running toward us. Afterwards, she showed me that the sore was exposed again probably due to kissing! I have no visible cuts or sores in my penis but i recalled that I had chapped lips). So given the exposure, what is the chance that i got infected?

I'm asking this because after 5 days, I have a fever that's going on and off,dry cough(although already had this pre-exposure),my itchy heat hives(have had this for 2 years) acted up again, plus just yesterday, the back of my neck started to hurt a bit although not swollen.

I have been scared like a little girl since I had the fever. I couldn't sleep and kept thinking about it and keep browsing these forums for clues..

fragile,

You did not have a risk for hiv infection. Neither getting blown nor kissing are risks for hiv infection. Not only is saliva not infectious, but it also contains over a dozen different proteins and enzymes that damage hiv and render it unable to infect. Not one person has ever been infected through a kiss or a blowjob. And yes, I read about the sore. It does not change my risk assessment one bit. NO RISK.

Here's what you need to know in order to remain hiv negative:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

I understand, and I wouldn't feel this way if it wasn't for the symptoms.
I'm sorry for asking again but wouldn't a sore on her lips and my chapped lips pose a risk for hiv? We were kissing for quite sometime too..
And wouldn't a sore on her lips that come in contact with my penis' urethra pose a risk too?

No. Saliva has over a dozen different enzymes and proteins that inhibit HIV transmission.

Your symptoms have nothing to do with HIV. If they persist you should discuss them with your doctor to determine the real cause.

This is NOT an HIV situation.

Just a follow up on my symptoms, it's been 4 days and I still have fever. It never gets high but it's still there. Plus,my hives sometimes don't itch anymore like 4 days ago, only some of them do itch. It seems that when i get hives, there are two kinds that show up, one that is itchy (has a white halo around it) and one that isnt itchy(with no white halo around it). They also appear simultaneously. My fever is always hovering around 37 degrees. I actually got checked by a doctor and said i had 35 degrees probably because i took a paracetamol 4 hrs earlier. She checked me for lymph nodes and found none.

My question is if my symptoms are ARS specific or if I'm just worrying for nothing. The girlfriend that I talked about, we have been going out for probably 3 months, we always use a condom for vaginal intercourse, actually the last time that we had intercourse was a month and a half ago. Since then, we have only been doing kissing and me recieving a blowjob.

So please, i badly need your opinion again on this matter..

Nothing has changed no matter what symptoms you throw into the mix. If your symptoms persist you should discuss them with your doctor. They have nothing to do with HIV.

Period.

Let me just give an update guys. I remembered that on June 20, i mistakenly used her toothbrush. Plus, on July 4,while she was giving me oral, my penis must have hit to deep on her throat which caused her to vomit puke over my penis.

Plus, my symptoms are getting worse. It has been 5 days and I still have fever. It seems to fluctuate and doesn't seem to be affected by aspirin. I've already taken 8! I now get a non-itchy rash which looks like small red circles, they go away quickly. I've had some semi wet stool. The back of my neck has been hurting like crazy. Mild headaches. Dry cough. Sore throat. Fatigue. Weight loss. Right now as we speak, my lower left abdomen is hurting.

Discuss your symptoms with your doctor. They have nothing to do with HIV. Nothing you are reporting put you at risk for HIV transmission.

I am giving you the 28 Day time out which you have been warned about.

The sexual transmission of HIV is about unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. Everything else is strictly theoretically only risky. Use condoms for intercourse and you will be well protected. It really is just that simple.

You are worrying needlessly about HIV. Give it a rest, see your doctor and get on with your life.
