Farmer boys? Please explain to the uninitiated.

I hope this guy treats you better than the last one. Have fun!

Oh, and beat his ass at backgammon. I love that game.

im sorry, i was so toasted last night when i posted i didnt address that. its a local drive thru that serves awesome food.

http://www.farmerboys.com/

he's never been so i offered to take him. i love their chicken anything, lol. yeah, and another lil problem has kinda emerged. i havent told him about my extracurricular smoking activities yet. and i think i've been pretty faded on every date. and maybe half of the times we've talked. he hasn't noticed : )

lol, the first time he came over (our second date) it was kind of a surprise. i was supposed to roll to his pad but those plans were cancelled. instead he offered to come here. i was really stoned during this conversation (as in i just killed a fat bowl of amnesia haze) and as he said the words i turned around and looked at my destroyed living room. i tried to figure out how the hell i was supposed to clean my apt in 2 hours. i got it worked out though.

it didnt matter in the end, he was happy to see me and didnt really care how my apt looked (i cleaned it with a quickness and efficiency a protestant would admire).

and i need to take mtd's advice about drunk posting.

enjoy your weekend.

best,
d

LOL, does that mean you stuffed everything in the closet til he left? That's the quickest way to clean an apartment when you have company. And I am sure he knew you were high as hell especially if he doesn't smoke. Non-smokers have noses like freaking bloodhounds... ;) I hope he is able to accept it. Anyhoo, good luck with this one, I hope he has waaaay less baggage than the last one and is stable.

hello QT,

lol...i have no idea if he knows. i smoked hours before he came over...well maybe an hour (had to maintain...ya know?). and yeah, those non pot smokers can smell us after a fresh bowl.

i spent july 4th with mom. before picking her up i smoked a phat bowl in my car. rolled the windows down and sprayed some body spray in the car...lol. i mean, she knows. and i knew it would be a while before i could smoke again. fuck it, might as well.

midway through my 2nd date with dude i was trying to figure out how i could stealth toke a bowl. i couldnt figure out an easy way (suggestions anyone?) so i didnt. i think the truth needs to come out. i have a feeling dude will be okay with it...i am legal afterall : )

i dunno if he is more stable...we are still getting to know each other. when we met he had a roommate and an apt in los angeles. he has a job (full time), his field involves technology (maybe a tech for some company), has a car and seems to like me. he's also cuban, a few years older and has a good relationship with his family. plus we both have a strong penchant for star trek...go figure.

best,
d

D, you need to get a one-hit bat. We used to get away with smoking in study hall with one of those.

@ miss p - i did make it through the date without smoking. but the date was on one of my smoking days ...aka the weekend. sun-thurs i do not usually smoke. some weekends (most weekends, especially during summer) i do. and, mind u, i am legal. on the weekends it is usually on and cracking my luv.

@ ann - it would have to be a big bat. i'm not sure if it's the pleasant smell or the giggles that usually give me away : )

Most people don't really care about weed D.  As a non pot smoker I don't really care if someone does smoke pot, although I draw the line at someone who smokes on a daily basis.  I see it as a negative trait but not a deal breaker.  Hope he takes it well, also out of curiosity have you told him you're poz?

I don't care about weed smokers in terms of dating either, but I have dated (or tried) those that smoke it too much and need it.  It just gets old, like the boozer or pill popper (of which, of course, I'm one... pills that is).  However, I'd never go on a date zonked out on sedatives.  Ever.  But my larger point is that it's not cool to be zonked out when they arrive, whatever your choice of substance.  If you want to get drunk together or get stoned together then that's totally cool, as it's a mutual agreement.  If someone was fucked up on the first date I might still trick with them (and have in such a situation) but I won't consider dating them seriously after that.  A proper lady simply must have standards!

Hot damn!!! I am glad things worked out for you and this dude so far. He has scored a point for being a Trekkie. And I never knew you were one. I am also glad that he accepts you for being a toker. Now excuse me while I hijack your thread for a few seconds......

Ms. P and I think it was Hellraiser, if I am wrong Hellraiser, I will apologize now. I am just too lazy to go quoting and see who says what. Now what is so wrong with a toker who smokes on a daily? I don't see a problem with that as long as you are functioning and not selling your shit to get high.If anything a toker is going to make sure they have plenty of food in the crib... ;) And other than meth, weed is a habit cheaper to maintain than a few others I can think of. And what is wrong with being high before a date? For one, it prolly calms down those butterflies D or anyone else might have on a first date or make a dinner conversation more interesting.

I am not trying to start an arguement both of you should know that. But for as many bad things you can say about it, I can come up with just as many good things. Plus y'all know any thread that mentions weed, I am going to say something.

D, Happy for you babe. You deserve some happiness. :-*

You wouldn't want to date me even if I wasn't toking, Miss Thing. I don't have the right package. Bong? I am from the hood, we smoke blunts or wraps, darling. Though I have tried a bong in the past. It's too much like sucking a dick. And there's a time and a place for that.

Plus it makes the weed tasteless.  I smoke mine the old fashion way like this:

My preferred way though would be to smoke it in fresh frontle leaf, but that's only available in Jamaican stores in Miami.  Hey D, it seems like you have a variety available to you.  Go easy on the Haze strains, I always found them to cause paranoia and anxiety when used over a long period of time.  IMO it's not good for casual use. Treat yourself to some White Widow sometime, and go easy... noob.

If you're going to smoke daily you should use a bong.  Even I know that much.

btw, I was a daily smoker for a year in college, until I graduated to acid and coke.  Grass is SO amateur.  And I was so coked up the night I snagged butt flu.

Hehe, what did you expect? We're true to this not new to it, Skee and I that is. And who, Miss P says that if you're a daily smoker it should be in bongs? Skee, I have the hardest time rolling with leafs cause I always end up ripping them. Do they still give the weed names over there in Miami? I use to get a kick out of that. I was watching Drug Inc last night which was talking about all drugs but you know I perked up when they got to talking about trees.

I'm on board with it, you are right.  It's just I can't feel anything when I smoke from a bong, chalice, or pipe.  I find I get more flavor and effect when I role in a cone or paper.

It always worked for me though, guess because I've been smoking since 7, maybe?

Honesty though D, weed really makes one lose their ambition.  And I'll tell ya, 41 years went by awfully fast.  In moderation weed is a nice treat.  If your smoking daily and are waking up to it, it's a problem.  I'll even go so far as saying it can cause one to become Bipolar, which I think might be a problem in my case although I won't go see anyone to be sure of that.  I was a very heavy user at one time.

I've had to cut back and by January I need to quit altogether in order to be considered for the RN program next Summer.  While HIV has played a part in me reconstructing my life (career wise), weed has played a part in this as well.

We don't really see it, but it makes us selfish.  And this is why you chose to smoke before a date with someone who put effort into making an impression on you.  He deserved the same.

I'm not judging you, I hope you know this.  I'm just pointing out something from my own experience with it.

I'll be lighting up some kush tonight once I put the kids to bed with you in my thoughts.

Sincerely, your friend.

Hmmm, well when I do have some, I usually do a wake and bake when I get up. I don't see myself having a problem. But for those of you who think  I do......Hi, my name is Queen and I am a weed addict....Reminds me of Half Baked with Dave Chappelle.....

Skee---I remember when I was in Miami, I was smoking on some John Blaze, that was the name of it. There were some other names too but I don't remember them at the moment.

I agree with Skeebs. I certainly wouldn't deny anyone a smoke but over time and overuse can be detrimental to some people.
I smoked daily for nearly 25 years. I never really noticed any bad side effects, except on my general motivation every now and then. I worked fulltime and everything was hunky dory. But, generally I would say I thought I was fine.
I hadn't smoked for 6 months till recently. Admittedly, I tend to overdo things and as I had a quarter ounce, I was pretty much gonna smoke till I finished it. I got really sad and depressed though. Crying for no reason, taking a whole week off work sick, not leaving the house. I think my pot daze are done.

All this talk about weed makes me want to roll up a big one and get stoned.  I would really get off on it no doubt since it has been a long time.  I was a bonger for the most part  Loved the first 3 bong hits of the day with LOTS of coffee.  'Those were the days my friend... we though they would never end'.

Speaking of weed and dates, I had an incident back in the 80s in Philadelphia.  My boyfriend at the time and I went to see some of my friends there one weekend.  While Edgar (name changed to protect the idiot) had a conniption fit when we smoked a couple of joints during the time he was in the shower.  I was SOOOO glad I drove that weekend because I am sure I would have been left in Philly.  The poor soul thought it was the end of the world and even called my mom in SC to tell her that I needed to be institutionalized for drug rehab.  No joke, he went off the deep end.  Needless to say that was the end of Edgar and me and I continued to indulge whenever I chose to.  No regrets.  I really did not think it would be a big deal but with some folks it is.  I am glad that your new beau does not have an issue with it.  Enjoy smoking if thats your thing!  Its even more important to not hide it from your significant other as it may cause a bigger issue down the road.
