Well, you could go on one of the free porn sites and jack off.  There's some fantasy for ya.

This weekend marks a year since I was infected and I know exactly how you feel. Wish I could figure out how to deal with my status so I could "get out there" and try to meet someone too.

I went to see Pat Benatar and REO Speedwagon in concert last night and it really sucked to see all of the couples there enjoying some of the best music of my lifetime and to realize that, at the rate I'm going, I'll always be alone. I really hope time heals what Atripla won't and will help me feel like less than damaged goods.

I'm not sure that being able to live a normal lifespan is something to be happy about if it means 30+ years of loneliness....

Elzorro, feeling like damaged goods is understandable after a diagnosis. At some point I hope you realize and accept that HIV will only define you as much as you allow it. I'm not damaged goods and I don't perceive the other people on here that way either, including you. :)

You're fooling yourself if you really believe that.
Make a date to go out with a friend.
Then if you are horny, just use the porn to whack off when you get home.
I personally feel that the next love will only come if my face is in the world.

Ok, the original post was more of a tongue-in-cheek poking fun at myself last night (and the other 3 on last night), not a manifestation gesture of chronic lonliness :)

went to see Pat Benatar and REO Speedwagon in concert last night

I'm jealous.  I love both of them, and would love a chance to see them in concert.  I think I still have acid-washed jeans somewhere.  I actually saw REO back in the day.

Foreigner will be coming to this little establishment in my town.  That would be a hoot to see.

If staying at home with your precious pet is not helping, then try and get out more often. Do something to chase your blues away. Stroll down Walmarts, go to a club (if tat's your thing), or join a support group, interest club..etc. Volunteer. Things will find you and keep you busy. ;)

Pets may not be a replacement but when my precious baby pup was still around (she passed in 2008), she was everything to me. I never felt any lonelier than now but I keep busy and getting better. I still grieve for her greatly but I know she is always in my heart.

Just a few suggestions but you eventually will figure it out how things will work out. This sounds like a cliche but the very 1st step is sitting down with yourself and liking it. Self love is the key to many paths ahead. Surprise yourself.  :-*

Ah, sometimes I have to really work up the spirit to go to such events now without a BF, but a friend is usually enough.
By the way, why are really cool rockers Pat Benatar and Joan Jett on the junk heap as ex-superstars and half-assed product like Melissa Etheridge go around with the attitude of being rock royalty?
