I went to garden party
« on: June 27, 2010, 12:50:13 PM »
Last night at a poz social I met a very nice couple and started up a conversation and it soon became apparent I was talking to our very own forum member Alanbama and his partner Layne .

When the party was over we all decided to go out for one more for the road . That lasted until near about last call . Alan and Lane live over an hour away so they excepted my offer of staying over in my guest room . I think there may have been a love connection because my bulldog Zita took a fancy to them both and slept in there room last night .

I really enjoyed meeting Alan and Layne and hope they come back and see me sometime .

I'm sure many are too young to remember the song, but that's what came to mind when I saw the title of your thread, J.  I believe James Taylor sang it.

Anyway, that was cool you got to meet Alan.  He's one of my faves here.  Besides you of course. :-*

I'm so jealous, jg! Alan's also one of my favourites here - I don't know of anyone who is sweeter or more gentle than Alan. What a pleasant surprise for all of you.

I remember the Garden Party song too - am I dating myself? ;D It's playing in my head right now.

It is an open invite . There is no set schedule for the socials but I will forward an invite to you in advance of the next one .

For some reason I was humming the Garden party song the morning I titled this thread and thought it to be appropriate LOL

It was good to see you too . Now that you know where I live you don't have to wait for a party to come see me .
