Worried still after 1 year, Stress?
« on: April 28, 2010, 09:47:09 AM »
I am a married straight male, Over a year ago, I had a few drinks too many and made a bad choice, I gave oral sex (blow Job) to a male massage therapist, (transsexual).  Since then, I have had a stiff neck, Muscle spasms in my neck, headaches, light headed and dizzy at times.  These symptoms have been with me most days.

My question is, am I simply stressed out and full of anxiety and guilt? or, did I put my self at risk.  He did not ejaculate in my mouth and I don't think there was pre-ejaculate.  Do I need to be tested for HIV or should I just try to get a grip of my stress and move on.  Obviously after one year I am still thinking about this every day and I need some closure.  Please help.

Dave

Dave, you are essentially worrying unnecesarrily about HIV. Your saliva contains over a dozen elements and proteins which very effectively prevent the transmission of viable HIV.

From time to time we hear of someone saying they were infected through giving oral. Those claims just don't hold up under careful scrutiny.

You can check your symptoms out with a doctor to be sure nothing else is going on physically with you. What you are describing sounds very much stress-related to me, but it's always good to have a checkup just to be sure.

I don't see this as an HIV situation You can always get tested anytime now just for your own peace of mind. I don't have any doubts that you will test negative, but maybe you need to do that just to help you end your worrying.

Cheers.

Thank you for your quick reply, Deep inside I know that I am negative, (Worried Well) I just cant seem to get it out of my mind and move on.  I guess the guilt got a good hold of me and caused me to be so stressed about the what if's.

Well guilt is a whole other matter. Listen, you did what you did. It's a part of your history. You can't undo it. But lugging that around is not a testimony to your finer character. All it does do is poison your life.

OK. So you sucked some dick. That's done. Accept what happened, take a deep breath and let it go. That's the best thing you can do for all concerned. Get on with your life.

Cheers.
