My latest numbers too!
« on: August 25, 2006, 01:06:17 PM »
Just thought I'd share my latest numbers as it seems to be a common thread. I've written before about stopping all my treatment in October 2005 when CD4 got up to 474 (33%) and viral load was <50.

Obviously since I stopped treatment CD4 has gone back down and viral load up but still not enough for me to consider treatment again. Anyway back in May my tcells were at 222 (15.7%) and viral load around 35,000 so I was expecting to have to face big decisions when I went for my latest results today.

Amazingly CD4 have stayed exactly the same as 222 with a slight % increase (16.1) and viral load only up to around 66,000. Obviously these numbers might be a cause for concern for others but I'm delighted with these results and it means I can continue to stay off treatment.

Not sure what I can attribute these results too but I like to think my exercise regime, good diet and mental attitude are playing their part.

So I get another 3 month reprieve and won't be worrying about numbers until November.

Emma

Diagnosed 11th September 1991
Current CD4 count 484 (26%); viral load undetectable (December 2011).
Restarting boosted Prezista 08/04/11

:) I am so happy that your numbers are stable. Here's to another three months!

Hello Emma, it is Eldon. It is good news to hear that your numbers have remained stable. Continue on your regime, drink plenty of fluids, and most of all get plenty of rest.

Have the Best Day.

Congratulations on your extension for your vacation!! I was able to take a 2 year vacation from meds.  It was a welcome event, as I don't know if I could have coped with that as well as nursing my husband through his last stages.  My doc knew what he was doing...

Good job, Emma!!

I'm sure there are some around here who think those numbers might be cause for alarm, particularly the CD4 count at 16%.  But you're holding steady and I like the way you think.

Congratulations!
