Morphine is keeping me awake .
« on: April 01, 2010, 01:56:17 PM »
I'm having a morphine problem and I'm not even taking morphine .

My 71 year old uncle is in the hospital with a coronary bypass for the legs and is in a great deal of pain but he also is loving the morphine . He is a happy guy despite the pain and the fact that he cant sleep .

He called me 5 times last night out of his head asking if the coffee was ready and once to tell me he is fond of egg mcmuffins and would like one at 3:18 in the morning . This has been going on for 4 nights now LOL . I am also taking care of his cranky ancient dog who torments my English's bulldog and cries non stop for her papa unless I am holding her . My other duty is driving my Aunt to and from the hospital while she stays at my house because its close to the hospital .

The thing about it is all taken in stride with good humor . I'm really happy I moved back to Alabama so I can be there in times like this . The only excuse for posting this boring thread is I'm completely loopy form lack of sleep . Time for a nap now .
