Welcome to AM Hadas.

To quote a certain cartoon preacher:

Long answer: "yes" with an "if". Short answer: "no" with a "but".

It's difficult to tell how a person is doing from one set of numbers. Monitoring HIV is about watching for trends over time since absolute numbers (such as the ones you've posted above) tend to fluctuate quite a bit.

I'd recommend you read the AM Lessons which explains these things in plain language.

Hello and welcome to the forums.

Can you give us just a little more context?  You say "new" numbers; was there an improvement or a decrease?  Were you recently diagnosed/infected?  The fact that they were given to you over the phone probably indicates that the likely answer is a no.  Are you on meds?

They don't sound like anything too horrible, but people may need just a little more info to give you an "educated" response.  Trends matter.
"I have tried hard--but life is difficult, and I am a very useless person. I can hardly be said to have an independent existence. I was just a screw or a cog in the great machine I called life, and when I dropped out of it I found I was of no use anywhere else."

Hello hadasinparis

You have asked whether you should be worried: were you offered any context or advice by your clinic when you were given these numbers, or was it simply results?

Regards,

Mark
