The treatment for scabies can cause a burning sensation on sensitive tissues such as your genitals. This should abate with time, though if symptoms persist consult your doctor.

I agree with Rod that you were not at risk of HIV infection from this encounter and as such you do not need to be tested.

It is possible for STIs such as chlamydia and gonorrhoea to be transmitted via unprotected oral sex and so you should seek medical advice regarding this.

hi everyone i have a couple of questions and i would like your kind answers....

1-  i have stopped using that lotion on my genitals and no problem so far interms of burning, it is just that my testicles are aching thats it ... i have been having alot of sex with girlfriend could that be it.

2- i read that the above conditions cause the person to have penis discharge and burning during urinating. i dont have that nor do i have any rash or blisters anywhere on my genitals.

3- i called the clinic and asked for a urine analysis. will it show any of the above.

4- is it risky in terms of hiv that i am having sex with my gf.

5- am i over reacting here or is  my reaction normal because the one and only unprotected oral was in early December.

i trust your expertise and i appreciate your kind words

cheers..... :o :o :o :o :o :o

As much as we would like to be helpful to you here about your concerns, our focus on this site is strictly on HIV-related issues. Your problem and symptoms have absolutely nothing to do with HIV as nothing you did sexually put you at risk for its transmission.

You need to discuss the various problems you are having with your doctor. Other STDs are much easier to acquire than HIV. We can't diagnose anything here.

For future reference you ought to know that the only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as you consistently use condoms for those activities you will be well protected against HIV. It's just as simple as that.

Good luck with getting your other problem sorted out in the right medical setting.

marik,

1. This has nothing to do with hiv. Talk to your doctor if you're concerned.

2. See #1.

3. See #1

4. Unless you and your girlfriend are either using condoms or have both been tested for hiv and all the other STIs before having unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse, then you need to test. If you ARE using condoms or if you have both tested for everything before having unprotected intercourse, then you have not been and are not at any risk and you do not need to test.

5. You're overreacting about the blowjobs. Getting a blowjob, with or without a condom, is NOT A RISK FOR HIV INFECTION as you've been repeatedly told.

If you have concerns about STIs other than HIV you should consult your doctor, particularly if your partner is pregnant.

hi everyone ...

i just came back from the lab and i took a urine analysis and a blood test (blood count) everything  i hope is ok .... however the doctor asked me for more tests, hiv and culture which i will do this week... when i told him that i did not have sex all i did was oral and protected genital rubbing no penetration.. he said that it was LOW RISK not no risk and that made my freak out and he said especially if i caught any other std then it would make much easier for me to become infected from that episode , because the reason i  opted for oral and not sex was because i want to be 100% protected from hiv and now this doctor dropped a bomb on me ....he even suggested the  following  website and i am really concerned.. guys is it really safe and why would this website say other wise is there a gain for them to lie to us .... ohh so many questions ... please any advice on what to do next.... ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

cheers......

People keep forgetting that HIV is a very very delicate virus, and for transmission to happen is very hard thats why it is only through Anal, vaginal sex or blood transfussion... I heard someone yesterday at a supermarket said that their aunt died of HIV caught it from her son from him always cooking for her i was like WTF thats bs!

Marikap, it's not our to explain or respond to what is said on other websites. We simply evaluate individual situations based on our HIV-science based information and experience.

It's very unfortunate that on other websites as well as from the occasional medical person inaccurate and/or outdated (mis)information is being handed out.

You had a no- risk incident. Anyone who says otherwise simply doesn't know what they are talking about. Even if you had another STD it wouldn't have made you more vulnerable to getting HIV through the activities you participated in. It is true that if you already had another STD it would lower your immune system and make you more vulnerable to HIV, but only IF you had unprotected vaginal or anal intercourse. Having oral sex and/or masturbating, rubbing and such activities are not risks for HIV whether you have other STDs or not.

You are worrying needlessly. I do suggest you stop surfing the net about your concerns because I can assure you that for sure you will find fuel for your fears and all to no good purpose. Get on with your life. Really.

Clearly you aren't listening to us.

You were not at risk of HIV infection and you do not need to be tested for HIV.

Marika,

If you're experiencing anxiety and other emotional issues your time would be better spent talking to a menatl health professional. We are simply not able to provide you with that sort of support.

Marika,

The test results "the Indian guy" got would be read as hiv NEGATIVE by any knowledgeable doctor. What's the problem?

You have NOT been at risk for hiv infection and if you continue to insist on using this forum to go on and on about your NO RISK situation, you WILL be given a time out.

If you read the Welcome Thread before posting like you're supposed to, you will have read the following posting guideline:

Quote

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Please consider yourself warned!

Marik,

What you describe is not a risk. Successful hiv transmission occurs INSIDE the body, as in unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse. Once hiv is outside the body, small changes in temperature and pH and moisture levels all quickly damage the virus and render it unable to infect. Vaginal fluids transferred from her hands to your penis would not present a risk to you.

As you've been told, the only proven sexual risks for hiv infection are unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse. Unless you're having unprotected intercourse, you are not at risk. It's time you grasped that fact.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. IT REALLY IS THAT SIMPLE!!!

on my way to pick up a 6 week test result ... the reason is that i have been having aches under my armpits which is making me think of one thing....that is why i took this test....

going back to my last exposure i did not really see the girl open the condom she could of have easily contaminated it or something or maybe it was lying around  .... i will be back to tell you my result in a couple of hours .... any words of encouragement will be highly appreciated..

cheers

Marik,

You did NOT have a risk. If you feel unwell, go see your doctor. You could be missing something important in your misguided focus on hiv.

I'm giving you that time out you were warned about. Do not attempt to create a new account to get around your time out because if you do, you will be permanently banned.
