Thanks, Inchling!

There are survey and polls, even in MASS, showing what the public wants. The real need is to GET IT DONE NOW, and GET IT DONE RIGHT, which is what the survey post is all about. Playing footsie with obstructionist Blue Dogs and Republicans didn't get it done. SO...

...after you go to surveymonkey
, call your 1) Congressperson 2) Senators 3) and the White House 202.456.1111 and demand a Bill passed and signed by Easter (this is an actual time table, not some fantasy) thru "Reconciliation". The Bill would be some hybrid of the Senate (lousy) and House (better) versions. By Summer either we have it or we failed.

I am a big proponent of Single Payer (like Medicare) but I have no guarantee a weaker national Public Option will be in the final bill. But States like CA may add one later through our own legislation (don't know the details).

There will be meetings, rallies, etc, starting all over the country, Wed Feb 17 to kick off this last (and final) struggle to pass health reform to replace an unsustainable "system" of unequal and wasteful health care coverage. 40 days and 40 nights to go... Our rally is noon, outside Blue Cross headquarters in Downtown LA. There will be many actions scattered around the country.

You may have read about those privately insured under Anthem Blue Cross of California getting 38% increases? that's my insurer, and it is the same kind of coverage I have! please help! Get involved next week!

-Steven (aka  8)  megasept) PS You may PM me for details
