who needs ennemies with friends like these?
« on: February 04, 2010, 03:03:33 AM »
Ok i'm the first one to say that one never run anothers religion down or to tell another what to believe in as we are all equal at the end. I personally feel God is to great to capture in one religion, so to be different and believe differently doesn't make us less human than others or does it? well the thing is my so-called best friend which now is my ex-best friend and her partner have now in two occasions insulted me in such a way that, i can't understand why they always have to quote the Bible and Proverbs to be exact. Talking about truth and telling others the truth as to what they think they know and that no-one can teach them nothing about believe and faith.

These two got married civil union and now think they are the model marraige couple of the lesbian community in South Africa. Just because Jenny asked for a gift that she gave me 6 years ago back. Then telling me that she doesn't know which God I serve but it is the wrong one, so i refuse to give that gift back as you have no right to run my believe structure down and she was the one ending the friendship, not me. but there is a bit of a twist since i don't do the social drug scene with her anymore that is where all this came in because my life has taken on a new direction a new meaning. Since i met the most wonderful man now the jealousy starts because there is no-more money from my side going into their habits. I'm clean from using drugs for more than a year now and i feel great since i stopped. I now have so much more to give to grow and enrich my life that all that is of no importance to me.

so here i am and then her partner starts quoting the Bible and insulting my believe structure and that does not faze me at all as this has nothing to do with her, what gives her the right to use words not even a soldier would use. Do i need this while at work?

Sooo, these ladies have drug habits, but throw quotes of the Bible around?

Oh, and congrats on your year clean.  That's a huge milestone.

yes BT, i think where the problem is because i am no longer part of that group and I refuse to support another persons drug habits. yes, i was there also, but it was a choice of that lonely life or the beautiful life i created for myself where i am living for the first time in my life. I met the most gorgeous man that supports me but he will not be there if i were still on that crap.

her partner quoted that I need to read Proverbs because I need to hear the truth as this is exactly what Proverbs is about all about the truth something most people can't handle if she says it as she see's it which is drugs up the nose and the Bible under her right arm talk about rightious..........I saw the light there after which is i don't need them to compliment my life, I have my man and my friends on here.

I know this is about a friend, and not a partner.  Be true to yourself first my angel, the rest will fall into place.  I am happy that you no longer fuel their issues.  The next time she asks for the gift back, do I have done with ex's tell them I do not return gifts.  If you did not want me to have it you should not have given it to me.
Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

I think it was either Peter Sellers or Ringo Star in the 1969 film, "The Magic Christian" who said, "When I pray, I found I was really talking to myself."  Personally, I always use a lower case "g" in gOD so not to appear pretentious  ;D  Have the best day

D - That is exactly how i feel and don't feel i have to return any gifts since they did end the friendship because of me not spending any more on them or their habits

Michael very well put i like it, seems the voices are speaking to them in the form of a credit card and straw.....LOL
