Golden Globes
« on: January 17, 2010, 09:35:37 AM »
Is anyone else going to watch the Golden Globes tonight?  The one nomination I cannot understand is Courtney Cox in 'Cougar Town'.  I only continue to watch the show because it's on right after the hilarious 'Modern Family' but I don't think Courtney or the show is at all funny.
Although, I am rooting for 'Glee' to win!

I will be watching.  I'm in the midst of my mad dash to see all the Oscar contenders......  Saw "A Single Man" last night -- Colin Firth, certainly deserves all the praise he is receiving.

As for Cougar Town -- I find it quite funny (usually).  I agree that Courtney Cox probably isn't "award worthy", but I watch sitcoms to laugh and this one makes me laugh.  The one actor on the show that should have been nominated -- her son.  That guy just cracks me up.

I do admit, the actor who plays her is son does have that dry sense of humor which is cute....hmmm, and I also have to admit that I do find the actors who play her ex husband and her neighbor ~ hot!

AND with Ricky Gervais hosting, that should be a hoot!

As much as I love movies and music I am not too fond of award shows...  Fabulous people gather to give each other awards based on the mere fact that they are fabulous.  Those of us with pedestrian lives stay home and watch.  Meh...

He makes good movies... but there is something about James Cameron's speeches... that makes me want to purge.
