Howdy!!!
I am a 27 years old man that has never practised sexual intercourse outside of marriage but ocasionally went to strip clubs and massage parlours where there i was performed BJs with a condom on and mutual masturbation with the girls.

I tought that those kind of actions where safe from being infected but now I am starting to doubt myself.

I want to know what u guys think on these behaviours:

1. Fingering with dry cuts or hangnails, inflamed cuticles and those red dots that appear to be breaks on the skin between the nail and therefore the blood stays there as a stain.;

2. Fingering with a relative new cut from the day before; but it has stopped bleeding;

3. Blowjob with condom on;

4. Hand Jobs with all the possible extenuating circumstances ( abrasions, small cuts on fingers, etc)

5. Vaginal fluids on my skin, finger, hand, etc

What made me start thinking about hiv is that from march till today i had various symptoms , with weight loss and rashes and everything possible known to ARS.

6. Is a test needed in my situation? Do I have to stop having intercourse with my wife unprotected?
We were both tested before and none of us was positive before these lapses of mine.

Thank u

Nothing you've presented was a risk of contracting HIV.

Fingerz,

Hiv is a fragile, difficult to transmit virus that is primarily transmitted INSIDE the human body, as in unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse where the virus never leaves the confines of the two bodies. Once it finds itself outside the body, small changes in temperature, and pH and moisture levels all quickly damage the virus and render it unable to infect.

1. & 2. Fingering, with or without any sort of cuts, scrapes or abrasions, is NOT a risk for hiv infection. Not one person has ever been infected this way and you won't be the first.

3. Getting a blowjob, with or without a condom, is not a risk for hiv infection. Not one person has ever been infected this way and you won't be the first.

4. Handjobs, no matter what sort of state the other person's hands are in, are also not risks for hiv infection.

5. No. See what I said above about hiv being outside the body and about fingering.

6. You don't need to test for hiv. You can have all the sex with your wife you like. You don't have hiv and you have not had a risk outside your marriage.

If you've been feeling unwell, go see a doctor instead of searching the internet for answers. While we cannot diagnose you over the internet, you CAN tell you that you have NOT had a risk for hiv infection while fingering, being masturbated or being blown. NO RISK.

OK thank u.

Does it matter the duration of those actions if for example i finger a hiv positive woman for 30 min or so?
Can hiv sweep into  my finger getting to my bloodstream??

Sorry for those questions but i am trying to educate myself on this matter.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Fingerz,

No, it doesn't matter how long the fingering takes place. I was with an hiv negative man for over eight years. He works in construction so he often has cuts and whatnot on his fingers/hands. We had a full sex life and yet he remained hiv negative. All we did was use condoms for intercourse. When I tell you you had no risk, I tell you that not only from a standpoint of having the scientific knowledge of hiv transmission, but also from having first-hand experience of keeping a man hiv negative.

You did NOT have a risk. Go see your doctor if you feel unwell. It's nothing to do with hiv.

Ok thanks for the clarification,

So what you are telling me is that i can do whatever i want with a girl so as long as i always use a condom for vaginal or anal intercourse i will be very well protected??
And therefore there is no concern on her being hiv positive?

Fingering, frottage, oral, rubbing, fluids, etc etc doesnt mean a thing when we are speaking about hiv as long as i use a condom for sex!!!

I think a got it now....

Thanks one more time

Happy New Year

fingerz,

Yes, you've got it. Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together. To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through all three condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results. Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Ok, thank u.
I had vomitting for a week now and its been 3 or 4 weeks since my encounter.
Could it be ARS or something not related. Is this a coincidence?????

I am feeling very bad and the anxiety is starting to go up....

Need to test maybe???

fingerz,

Of course it's coincidence! You never had a risk, remember?

If you read the Welcome Thread before posting like you're supposed to, you will have read the following posting guideline:

Quote

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Please consider yourself warned!

Discuss your symptoms with your doctor. As you have been told previously you were not at risk for HIV. We can't diagnose the cause of your symptoms here.

But I can tell you that if you come back again about this non-risk situation you are going to get a Time Out for 28 days. HIV is not your issue. Period.

Hi there,

I went to my doctor and she told me that hiv infection can happen trough fingering and those small cuts that we have in our hands can be a route to infection.

She told me that thats why doctors use gloves to prevent themselves of being infected with hiv.
It makes sense to me... Why do a gynecologist uses gloves to examine a vagina for example???

She told me that here in Africa many people in the medical field do get infected when handling body fluids, and as a result everyone should use latex gloves because of those tiny cuts that almost everyone has on their hands.

Bottom line is she is a doctor and she is scared to touch body fluids with her hand because of infection and you say its not a risk.
Where do I stand!!!!

fingerz,

Not all doctors are educated on hiv transmission - and the one you spoke to doesn't know what she's talking about.

Not one person has ever been infected through fingering. Not one medical personnel  has ever been infected through normal handling of body fluids. They wear gloves to protect YOU from bacteria on their skin. They also wear gloves to protect themselves from bacteria, not hiv.

You can test over this if that's what you need for peace of mind, but as long as you've not been having unprotected intercourse outside your marriage (has your wife ever been tested?) then you can be sure of a negative result.

You will not be permitted to use this forum to go on and on about your NO RISK fingering incident. You've already been warned about this. PLEASE CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED FOR THE LAST TIME!

Hi Ann, Just a quick one:

I told my wife about those episodes and she freaked out and went to have a quick anti body test.
The result was negative again, but i am not so sure about my own status.
I have been having unprotected sex with her since the episodes last year.
Do I have to test or she not having hiv proves that i didnt get it from fingering nor did i passed to her?

Thank u and sorry for the mess im doing here

Fingerz,

One can never know their own hiv status by having their partner tested. That said, you HAVE NOT HAD A RISK FOR HIV INFECTION and you don't need to test over this incident.

I'm giving you that time out I warned you about. Do not attempt to create a new account to get around your time out because if you do, you will be permanently banned.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the time out u gave me but i am still worried about hiv and aids. I think i need to see a therapist because i am developing a phobia and an obssession about hiv.
Because I am now more aware of hiv everywhere. I now see much more stuff related to hiv than before, and is screwing my life as I am afraid of going out now.

Do you know someone that has this disorder??? I got it that i didnt have a risk but what concerns me is the cut on the finger + the vaginal fluids when fingering so it isnt a small risk at least????

Great Site, Great People

Fingerz,

I'm glad you enjoyed your time out because you're already heading for another, even longer one.

You say you accept that you had no risk but then you say isn't it a small risk?

NO! Fingering, no matter what sort of details or cuts or whatever you can come up with, IS NOT A RISK FOR HIV INFECTION!!!

If you cannot bring yourself to believe us, go test and collect your negative results. Do it on your way to your therapist appointment. Yes, you do need to enter into a therapeutic relationship with a mental health care professional. It sounds as though this obsession with hiv has already taken over your life.

You absolutely will NOT be permitted to use this forum to go on and on about your no risk situation in place of seeing a professional.

PLEASE CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED!!!

Ok thank u. If i test ill post the results here....What was really strange was the Vommiting and fatigue and a low grade fever i had for 2 weeks. And a little diarrhea also.

Symptoms make u sick of worry.... In my country Campaings of awareness and prevention of Hiv and Aids are supporting the idea one partner per person so that Hiv can be stopped and the use of condoms even in a monogamous relationship.

What do you think of that??? It seems that condom use only is not working here because the infection rate is rising dramatically....

Is just a comment.....

fingerz,

Condoms only work to prevent hiv infection when people use them. All the awareness campaigns in the world are not going to make people who don't want to use them, use them.

While I was setting up your second time out, I discovered that you created this account to get around the permanent ban of the account "onthelow".

Guess what? I'm not giving you a second time out any more. I'm permanently banning you AGAIN. I'll be on the lookout for another new account from you, so don't bother.
