Props where they're due
« on: December 03, 2009, 01:54:43 PM »
I'm posting this in "Living With" forum but trust the Mods to move to where they see fit.

In the past I have had some challenging things to say about Regan Hoffmann's contributions to Poz Magazine.  Not looking to stir anything up here so please don't misinterpret things that way.

I always figure that integrity is just a word unless it's showed via action.  This means if I'm ticked off about how something is run and I decide to gripe about it--then it's on me to join in and help with it.  I've done that with everything from CBOs, AIDS walks, policies and even laws.  So here's my chance to show that I don't just 'diss' Miss Hoffmann from time to time for some odd personal reason.  If I decide to gripe about something she wrote or said--I should be there to applaud the same when it is due.

I think her current contribution to the Poz Podium, Playing Possum On World AIDS Day ROCKED!

In my opinion she nailed some very important issues right between the eyes--it was a pleasure to read.  Great timing--and something that burnt-out butt-kicking pain-in-the-a$$ activists like me needed to hear in the midst of the World AIDS Day cacophony.

So, just my 2-bits here--Regan--you ROCKED it!  Thanks.
