worried well

I am sorry to bother you with yet another one of these no risk situations. The story is I had protected anal sex with a guy I just met.  I know he gets around a bit, but said he was always safe and hiv neg.  Well when I pulled out I forgot to hold the base.  I know this isn't a risk for me, but what worries me is that I then didn't get a good look at the condom. So I wonder if it broke.  I didn't notice anything when I glanced at it.  I tested at 6 and 8 weeks, both negative.  The 8 week test was an oral swab and the guy read it at about 18 minutes and the background was still a little pink, but no line on the reactive and the control line was was fine.  Some of the things he was satying made me wonder if he knew what he was doing.  I now have had a bump or something behind my left ear, on the bone, that I am concerned is a lymph node. I have found no others, and believe me, I have looked.  Well there is possibly a very small one in my neck but that doesn't concern me.  I have also been pretty tired the past several days, but this is probably because of the stress and fear I have been putting on myself.  So I present this just for your input.  I am sorry to waste your time because you get stuff like this all of the time and it must be annoying.  I just don't want a surprise when I go for my 12 week test next week.  And I haven't seen any instance where you gave advice to someone and they came back and told you that you were wrong, I don't want to be the first. So what I suspect you will say will be comforting to hear. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving.

I also have hada slight dull pain in my lower back.  I know symptoms don't help, but it was the appearance of these things the caused my worries.

If the condom had broken you would have been able to see that quite clearly. It's not about itsy bitsy little holes. The whole thing ends up looking like a hoop with fringe on your penis.

I don't see any cause for concern about HIV.

If your symptoms continue to bother you, discuss them with your doctor. They have nothing to do with HIV and are not in anyway HIV specific. And no further HIV testing is necessary.

Cheers.

You're welcome. Fortunately doubts and fears are not facts even if they "feel" like they are.
