I don't know how many read that forum, and I hope it's OK to link to a thread there:

I remember meeting Steve and Adam at AMG this year.  He had only found out his status a few days earlier, I believe.  I remember thinking how well he seemed to be dealing with it.

It's stories like this that help me to remember the importance of living in the moment -- not wasting time worrying about things over which I have no control.  We never know when the end will come -- when it comes for me I don't want to be wishing I had spent more time living and less time worrying.

I really didn't know Steve all that well, but he hit me as a wonderful man and this story has really struck me hard.

Adam -- my heartfelt condolences.  I can't imagine what you are feeling right now.

Hugs,
Mike

Thank you for posting this link, David. I just finished adding Steve to the In Memoriam directory and was going to post a thread here in Living as well.

Like Mike, this has reminded me that we never know how long we have.

Be here now.

Again, Adam, you have my condolences. You and your families are in my thoughts at this terrible time.

Actually, Mike mentioned it to me.  I'm glad he did, as I don't often read that forum much (though I really should).  I have a vague memory of Adam and Steve from Boston.  I can't imagine what it would be like to lose a partner so suddenly.  Adam, you and those close to you guys are in my thoughts and prayers.

So very upsetting, I'm shocked and stunned.

Steve and I had developed an extensive PM exchange in the last few months and I must say he was one of the most helpful and upbeat members I have talked to, and obviously a good soul with a huge heart.  I was so upset that I didn't get a chance to meet him when I was in Boston, now it is even more upsetting that I will never get to meet him, at least not on this Earth. I will truly miss our exchanges.....I never got to tell him that I received my "Glow Cap" the other day and to tell him that he was right about it being pretty awesome.

RIP Steve :'(

Adam, My thoughts and prayers are with you sweetie.

This is tragic and heartbreaking.  I met Steve and Adam in Boston but do not know them well. He certainly led a vibrant and colorful life that touched the hearts and souls of our many of our members.  That's what makes these forums and gatherings so meaningful. Our lives become connected in so many ways.  Yes I grieve his passing but it's such a thrill to know someone who helped so many here would soar though the clouds for a fundraiser yet.

How terrible    what nice couple.   and shocking, I met Adam and Steve on the first night  in our gathering in Boston.  such a tremendous loss for such a young man.....how sad for everyone.   extra thoughts and prayers for Adam and for Steve's family   especially his twin.....very perplexing...
