want to have a baby
« on: October 28, 2009, 12:15:03 AM »
My husband and I have been together for a while. We are happy and stable. I had a tubal ligation a couple of years ago. My husband and I would really love to have a child. We are both undetectable and believe in staying healthy. My cd4 count is over 1000. If anyone knows a doctor to preform a tubal reversal or ivf. Please let me know. I really love to experience a pregnancy with my loving husband.

Hi Carmen,

First, have you spoken with your OB/GYN doc about the reversal procedure? Further, not knowing your age and other factors to consider, have you discussed if it is safe for you to become pregnant? Then, if you are eligible, I would want to know a doctor's opinion (or a fertility specialist's opinion) as to which to go for..tubal ligation reversal OR IVF w/o reversal and any other variation possible (i.e. reversal and IVF)

If you don't have a current doc (OB/GYN), you're going to need one to get this process going. You don't state what city you're in---so no one can make an outright referral to you (if any of us can share one) until you make that clear.

Em

Thank you for your response. We live in Dallas Texas. I have talk my HIV MD. The MD look at my surgery records and stated the tubal should be attempted first. I am in good health.
