Day 4 on Meds
« on: September 28, 2009, 12:16:07 PM »
Well, this morning was the fourth dose on my regimen (Prezista,Norvir & Trivada).  Truthfully, side effects have been pretty much Nil. Today I feel more energy, but it may just be a placebo effect....hey, whatever works.  lol.   Definitely feel stronger emotionally and physically, again, whatever the reason is fine with me.  I am going to Rockefeller Institute on Thursday anyhow, part of a study that involves just monitoring, they are going to do labs regardless, so it would be interesting to see what my labs look like after one week, but I certainly don't expect much.  Just interesting to see.

Well, just wanted to share the experience so far.

Also, I did a search on Prevacid here, but i did not find what I was looking for.  I remember reading somewhere the Prevacid interacts with some HIV meds, anyone remember the scoop on that?  Forgot which ones and how.

Thanks again!
:)  :)

mpositive,

Prevacid does react with PI's. The Prezista you are taking is a PI as I'm sure your aware. I don't know if Prezista will be affected but it is probably not a bad idea to run it by your IDD. Here's a link:

Glad to hear your not experiencing any problems on your new regimen. I'm on those same medications along with Isentress. I have been on this regimen for two years and have had no problems.

Are you at liberty to discuss further what kind of study this is? I'm just curious but if you can't talk about it I understand.

It's just observational. Basically, they asked me to go on this study because I was newly infected and was going  thru the Acute stage.  So I just go for labs at certain intervals, which get spread out longer and longer for I think 2 or three years.

Veritas, thanks for that link, gonna check it out.
