worried beyond comprehension.
« on: October 22, 2009, 04:17:19 PM »

5 weeks ago I had an encounter with another college guy of unknown in which we mutually masterbated, french kissed, and then he performed oral sex on me without a condom.  I was told this was relatively safer sex, but im still very concerned as to my risk of HIV. My concern stems from the fact that i had be chewing at the side of my mouth the day before and removed some of the skin on both sides this way. no visible blood or taste of blood that i recall...I also have gone through a random assortment of symptoms since that encounter which may or may not be stress related.

1 week after...headaches consistently.

2 weeks after....headaches subside, sore back and tension in back comes one.

2 1/2 weeks after....back pain reduces, sore armpits, armpit muscles, and red burning rash underneath armpit develops.

3 1/2 weeks after.... rash still there, not as sore, back pain gone. stress present.

4 weeks after....mild stuffy nose and small cough lasts few days.

now 5 weeks after.... slightly sore throat, cough, intermittent sore armpit, couple enlarged glands on right side neck. rash is gone due to stopping of deodorant and use of aloe vera as sub. anxiety at high level.

No fever, fatigue on and off, but generally concerned, especially about armpit symptoms?

My question is was i at risk? Are these symptoms indicative of HIV ars? what are your guys thoughts on the hell im going through?

Thanks...

You are worrying needlessly. What you did with this other guy wasn't "relatively" safe.

It was COMPLETELY SAFE in terms of any risk for HIV transmission. There is no need for testing nor for further concern about HIV. Whatever is causing your symptoms is something to discuss with your doctor.

The only confirmed sexual means of transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. Everything else is risky only theoretically and not in the real world of HIV as we know and experience it.

Take a breath and get on with your life.

Cheers.
