Doh! I didn't even pay attention. :D Thanks!
However, anyone else thinking about moving, make sure to check on whether you'll still have access to medications and benefits. ;)

Yeah Mikie good advice, I did this almost 9 yrs. ago when I moved for Nor-Cal to New Mexico, and I'm glad I did too, fast forward to today, I still have almost the same benefits to date, so I'm staying PUT, I love where
I live, I aint moving no-where any time soon  ;) at least NOT to one of them bat-shit-ass States with no funding  :-\

I've never lived in the south and the thought of it frightens me.  And Texas?? You've got to be kidding.  I imagine big hair and shi* kickers chasing me with a baseball bat.

I live in Seattle, arguably one of the most liberal city's in the country.  Excellent medical care for HIV and a lot of HIV research is done here as its the home of the gates foundation and there are a ton of biotech firms.  However, Its not >cheap< but its not as pricey as San Francisco so...thats something.  Oh and it rains all the time.

It could be that I've never lived in the middle of the country but I would stick to the coasts.

The OP post is over a year old, you know.
*bumping* this billiant post by Mecch to try to kill this zombie thread ;)
(the OP hasn't even posted since early Oct 2010. He was still talking about living in TX a year after this thread went cold, so I doubt any city relocation information is relevant to the OP anymore)

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts
