Finding Recipes Online

(1/1)

carbonNYC:
I recently encountered a great tip for when you want to find recipes online which meet certain (complex) criteria. Rather than limiting your search to a given recipe site (which means you may have to repeat the search many times) or opening it up to the whole internet (which means you'll get umpteen blogs discussing the philosophy of cooking your item rather than providing recipes) just search google with your search terms and then this string of text:
(inurl:allrecipes.com | inurl:epicurious | inurl:recipesource | site:cooking.com |inurl:Recipezaar )

It works like a charm! Want recipes for blueberry muffins which don't have eggs?
blueberry muffins -egg (inurl:allrecipes.com | inurl:epicurious | inurl:recipesource | site:cooking.com |inurl:Recipezaar )
link: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=blueberry+muffins+-egg+%28inurl%3Aallrecipes.com+%7C+inurl%3Aepicurious+%7C+inurl%3Arecipesource+%7C+site%3Acooking.com+%7Cinurl%3ARecipezaar+%29&btnG=Search

I'd love to hear other people's tricks for recruiting nutritious recipes online.  ;)
