That's what I'm talking about!    ;D

It happens.  No biggie.  As others said, just try not to make a habit out of it and never double your dose if you miss one.

I missed one once, and woke up at 5am when I realized it - jumped out of bed and took it.  Of course, I was dizzy until after lunch the next day...  I asked my doctor when I saw him next, and he said that you need to achieve a minimum of 95% adherence for it to be effective, which he said meant I could maybe miss one dose per month, but that I should just take it as soon as I remembered and definitely not make a habit of it.  I think in your case I would have almost just gone ahead and waited since you were only 4 hours away from your next dosing time, but probably not a big deal.  You'll be fine.  I freaked out too, I can't imagine not missing a dose in 4 years.  Good job :)

I missed a few doses over the course of a few months, by going up to bed tired and completely forgetting about it.  Once, I went away for the weekend and didn't realize I didn't bring my Atripla with me until it was way too late turn back, 2 days missed. Thats how I ended up taking it in the morning.  One Friday night it was late, and I was too tired to get out of bed and go back downstairs. I didn't get in too much trouble from my docs for it.

I've  been told the same thing by my doctor.  I don't think you should fret over it...  like the others said don't make a habit of it.

I take mine when I get home from work...first thing I do after walking in the door. Seems easier to remember while I am no nodding off to sleep.

My doc told me you ''can'' miss ONE dose a month (if you are on a once-a-day regime) or TWO doses a month (if you take your meds every 12h). :)

whew! glad to hear missing one dose (per month) is not the end of the world (but shouldn't be done).  I've been afraid of what might happen if I miss a dose so I keep my pill bottle on my pillow.  That way I can't rest my weary head without having taking my meds.

Hi to everyone, i"m new. For my understanding it's not OK for you to miss a dose, we have to remember that, the infected cells, have a mind of it's own, meaning that if you make it a habit missing one dose every month soon, your doctor would prescribe another medicine. Make sure don't forget your pill, have your cell phone, to remind you, clocks around your house. even a friend or your other significant to remind you. And just to let you know that when you forget to take your pill, take it as soonest you remember its OK if you take it after 15 minutes but don't forget don't make it a habit. It's very important that you take your pill at the same tim
