Advise needed please
« on: June 17, 2009, 03:29:43 AM »
Hi everybody,

First of all i must write that you guys are great in the way that you give several people a peace of mind and a good sleep at night because of your valuable suggestions.

I Might write something long but i urge and request the experts to please read ir and asnwer my querries and your opinions would mean a lot to me.

My last exposure was around 17 months back. I went to a massage parlour and received oral unprotected. Though I did not ejaculate in her mouth and did it outside. It was just that she too it in her mouth for some time. Prior to that (almost 21 months back) I had been with some csw but had never never pentrated. I did the foreplay and then masterbated outside.this was around 6-7 times. As far as i remember not a single encounter was penetrative. AFter that I tested for HIV ELISA, p24anitgen HIV1&2, chemolumiscense 5 times and all of them came back negative. My last test was 17 months after the massage parlour expousre where in had received a BJ.

Now the questions are as follows:

1. I am planning to have a baby. Can i do it now or u suggest me to wait for some further time and then re test again and then plan for the baby.

2. Can i have unprotected with my wife now

3. Is it possible in a rarest way that i have not seroconverted till now and might do later

4.  I have asthma from my childhood and i take asthalin inhaler and Montair tablets and also omnacortil tablet at times, which my GP says that it is a steroid. Can it delay the seroconversion at any cost

5. I have done recently a routine blood test which indicated trace of ALbumin. There were also occassional presence of epithelial cells and pus cells in the urine. The heamoglobing an d WBC count was ok and normal. My GP said that it is very normal to have trace becaise of the non vegeterian food hat we take. Is it really normal to have a trace of albumin and pus cells.

6. Reently, I developed sonme rashes which went away after 2 -3 days. Is it anyway linked to HIV.

7. I never had any diarrehea but yes I do suffer from constipation at times. Could it be related to HIV.

My GP told me that I am practically safe but theoritically anything can happen. Also i have read that there are people who seroconvert much after the window period. Also that some people never seroconvert.  I have been to some doctors and they just send me bach saying that nothing has happenned because the test results says NEGATIVE. I never had any organ transplant ior received any chemo. Nor i use IV drugs. But yes i have taken STEROIDS for asthma that were injected onto my blood some 5 years back for around 9-10 times.

I do not stay in the US and hence I reaaly do not know that what is the maximum time for testing though the CDC says it is 3 or 6 months.

Your valuable advise is really what i need. Please help me.

Thanks,

PAUL

Paul,

Nothing you did or had done to you by any of the sex workers was a risk for hiv infection, so it's no surprise you do NOT have hiv. You are conclusively hiv negative.

As for having unprotected intercourse with your wife, you can as long as SHE has also had a full sexual health care check up and has also tested negative for ALL STIs, including hiv. Hiv is a fragile, difficult to transmit virus and more so from a woman to a man, so unless she's also tested negative, you cannot know her hiv status just because you're hiv negative.

As far as YOU are concerned, you do NOT have hiv. You have tested conclusively negative over NO RISK situations. None of your numbered details change that fact.

Ann,

Thanks a ton for ur reply. But i could not resist myself in asking these questions to u as  it is constatly coming to my mind. I dont whether it is worry or anxiety or fear and even if it is i dnt knw why it is coming

1. What do u mean by HIV is a fragile virus and difficult to transmit. Then how are ppl getting affected

2. I have done every thing except for penetration. I have heard that IV is transmitted sexually and then How I am at NO RISK

3.I have also read that steroids delay seroconversion. I have been taking Steroids(Omnacortil 10mg for asthma). CAn i still be sure that I am NEGATIVE.

I shall request you to reply to these questions as it keeps on coming to my mind.

Thanks,

PAUL

Paul,

People are getting infected with hiv because they're having UNPROTECTED anal or vaginal  INTERCOURSE with other people. Hiv is very fragile and once it's outside the human body, small changes in temperature, pH and moisture levels quickly damage the virus and render it unable to infect. When someone puts their unprotected penis into someone's anus or vagina and shoots a load of cum directly into that person's anus or vaginal , then you have a risk for both partners. Otherwise, sexually speaking, no.

Your asthma meds will not affect the outcome of an hiv antibody test.

Getting a blowjob is absolutely NOT a risk for hiv infection. Not one person has EVER been infected this way and you certainly will not be the first. You did NOT have a risk.

I've answered you, now I have a request for you in return. Do not use this forum to continually question your NO RISK incident and conclusive negative test result. OK? Thanks.

Ok let me start directly with the questions and then tell you what i think.

1. I am planning to have a baby. Can i do it now or u suggest me to wait for some further time and then re test again and then plan for the baby.
*** There is no reason from what you have stated that you could not conceive a child.  For your own security and peace of mind get the suite of STD testing, including the HIV and then go and have your children.

2. Can i have unprotected with my wife now
*** Once you have the testing done and it all comes back negative which i believe it will, YES.  Just make sure you do not stray.

3. Is it possible in a rarest way that i have not seroconverted till now and might do later
*** The chance or likely hood is very rare and unlikely.  There are no guarantees.  You already took the chance and it is very unlikely.

4.  I have asthma from my childhood and i take asthalin inhaler and Montair tablets and also omnacortil tablet at times, which my GP says that it is a steroid. Can it delay the seroconversion at any cost
*** I am not a doctor and cannot say what effect it might have on HIV, but if the doctors says NO i would listen to the doctor.

*** Again your doctor knows best and can give you a better idea of what those blood test mean.  Although i am getting the feeling you have little trust in your doctor and if so you may want to get a second opinion from a Blood specialist.

6. Reently, I developed sonme rashes which went away after 2 -3 days. Is it anyway linked to HIV.
*** I would not think so, but they can be related to other STD's for which i recommend you get a full test for.

7. I never had any diarrhea but yes I do suffer from constipation at times. Could it be related to HIV.
*** Not likely.  The diarrhea may be more due to worrying and other meds you take.  Diarrhea can also be caused from the food you ate as well.  Once you get a full STD testing done and you get the results.  You should be fine.

I do get the sense of a lack of security from your doctor and it might be time to get a second opinion and to make sure so you will not worry.

Paul, I have merged your threads. Please follow our rule and keep all of your entries in this same thread.

You are worrying needlessly. Whatever caused your headache has nothing to do with HIV. You used a condom which is exactly what you are supposed to do. They provide very effective coverage against HIV transmission.

If your headache persists you should discuss it with your doctor. This is not an HIV situation. Period.

Latex condoms, when used consistently and correctly, are highly effective in
preventing transmission of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. In addition, correct
and consistent use of latex condoms can reduce the risk of other sexually
transmitted diseases (STDs), including discharge and genital ulcer diseases.
While the effect of condoms in preventing human papilloma virus (HPV) infection
is unknown, condom use has been associated with a lower rate of cervical
cancer, an HPV-associated disease. Laboratory studies have demonstrated that latex condoms provide an essentially impermeable barrier to particles the size of STD pathogens.

It has to be caused by something else you didn't have a risk of contracting HIV from PROTECTED sex.

As long as a condom is worn correctly for intercourse (vaginal and anal) and doesn't break, then you are well protected against the sexual transmission of HIV. And if it had broken you would have known it because it's a subtle thing of having an itty bitty hole. The whole thing goes and ends up looking like a fringed hoop on the penis of the wearer.

So there is no reason to think your swollen gland is about HIV. They happen for all sorts of reasons. Don't fool around pressing and squeezing it as that can create a big problem. Discuss it with your doctor.

This is not an HIV situation.

Cheers.

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

The HIV antibody test window period is 3 months. Not 6 months. 3 months.

A vanishingly small minority of people can take longer than 3 months to seroconvert. These are some people who have histories of very long term injecting drug use, cancer patients receiving certain kinds of chemotherapy and some people taking certain immuno-suppressive medications.

I feel I can say without serious fear of contradiction that you do not fall into any of those categories.

You were not at risk and you do not need to be tested for HIV. We have explained this to you already. We have also explained to you that if you feel ill, you should see a doctor. Whatever is making you feel ill, it is not HIV.

You have already been warned about making incessant posts regarding questions we have already answered. I have to tell you that a Moderator will review this thread and you may be subject to a 28 day temporary ban from these forums.

You will not be warned again.

Hello All,

I should not have comeback to this forum but there is one question whicj i wanted to ask, compelled by the circvumstances around me. I had tested again on May 19th, which makes exactly 5 months and I tested  negative but when i raise my arms while sleeping, i find a small ball like thing in my un derarms exactly where the joint is (the arms, the shoulder and the body) while I am standing and sitting, it is not at all noticable but when i am in sleeping position and i raise my arm totally upwards, I can feel that. Though there are no such things in the other part of the body (groin, necvk etc etc). Is it that I am yet to seroconvert. I have heaard that 3 months is enough and some say 6 months  and some also say 1 year. Is it really a swollen lymph node or it  is nor mal to feel that part of the body that way in that position.

1.Do you think I need to retesat after some time or that it is not required

2. Do  you think that is normall to feel the underarms that way or it is something suspicious.

I had protected sex 5 months back. Please advise

Thanks

Paul,

Did you bother to re-read your entire thread before you posted again? Because if you did, you'd know that YOU HAVE NOT BEEN AT RISK FOR HIV INFECTION.

It doesn't matter when you tested, your result is CONCLUSIVE. You do NOT have hiv.

You do not need further testing. YOU DO NOT HAVE HIV.

If you're worried about your underarm, go see a doctor. It's nothing to do with hiv. YOU DO NOT HAVE HIV!!!

I'm giving you that time out you've been warned about. Do not attempt to create a new account to get around your time out because if you do, you will be permanently banned.

Hi Ann,

sorry for coming back again, but i promise this is my last question. I must indicate that I have been taking asthma meds for several years now. Montelukast and Prednisolone. I tested recently at 11 months and came negative. Please let me know if i shud test again and if these drugs can delay the antibody formation.

Thanks

Are you bothering to listen and to take in anything of what has been said to you. For a last time, you don't have HIV and there was no need for testing. You are HIV negative. If you come back again for this non-risk situation you are going to get either a Time Out or permanently banned.

Get it? HIV is not your problem. Your problem is your obsession about HIV. Get yourself some professional help to deal with that. We can't address it in this setting.

HI,

I called a csw yesterday. Did some wet french kissing and I kissed her boobs a lot. and did some fingering. I do not remember if i had licked  my finger after fingering. She performed oral on me but that was protected. I was wearing a condom. Later I was masturbating but when i ejaculated i realised that condom had come out, not sure if it slipped or was torn. Initially i inserted the tip of my penis in her vagina but then took it out imediately and masterbuted but did not penetrate after that  for sure.

Am I at risk.

Please revert.

Thanks

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

HI Ann,

Thanks for your reply but do you mean that I do not need any testing. As i had mentioned, I did some french kissing and fingering. I did not know if she had any cuts in her mouth. Though I do not have any significant mouth problems , but I do have bad gums and they bleed when i brush.

Also, when I did fingering, I did feel some thick liquids.

Thanks,
Shivaji

Under absolutely NO CIRCUMSTANCES are kissing or fingering a risk for HIV.

I am not sure how much clearer we can be than that.

Yes, I have read your posts. About the bleeding gums. Aside from being a bit gross to kiss someone like that, it was NO RISK for HIV.

Nothing you have posted is in ANY WAY a risk.

I quote our WELCOME THREAD

Quote
Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

I have reported your latest posts to the moderators. I am sure Ann or Andy will be along shortly to handle this.

HI jkinatl2, Ann, Amdy and other moderators,

I am sorry if i have offended someone but the idea is to get peace of mind. I am now having 100F fever and lack of apetite. Though there are no rahes or any other symptoms.

I am doubting if this is the ARS.

Also, I did not understand the previous reply. ""Aside from being a bit gross to kiss someone like that, it was NO RISK for HIV." I am from asia and my english is not so good.

If you can explain the above please. I swear to god i am not here to trouble or bother u guys. I just want to confirm couple of things.

Do u guys think i can be sufferring from ars.

Also, do i need to test at 6 weeks or 3 months

Thanks,

Offline Ann

Paul,

You have NOT had a risk.

I'm giving you that time out you were warned about. Do not attempt to create a new account to get around your time out because if you do, you will be permanently banned.

Paul,

Once again you're here with a no risk situation.

Ann

You have a pattern of coming back repeatedly over non-risk situations for which no testing is necessary. If you have symptoms of any sort you should discuss them with your doctor. Based on what you have reported of your activities they have nothing to do with HIV. You did not do anything risky.

You are worrying unnecessarily about HIV. The only risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse.

Stop all this drama and get on with your life.

I am now giving you the Time Out for 28 days which you have been warned about in the past. Don't make the mistake of trying to get around it by creating a new account. We'll spot that right off and it will get you banned permanently.

Again, HIV is not a problem for you.
Andy Velez
