« on: June 04, 2009, 02:11:18 PM »
the other day I was doing a moving job and while packing boxes I cutCuts and puncture wounds myself on the end of the tape dispenser. It was a quick motion and the skin was brokenBroken bone
Broken or knocked out tooth and bled shortly a second later. I am worried cause someone cutCuts and puncture wounds themselves earlier. Is this a risk for hep c or hiv and do i need testing.

Prince3, move on you were told that you didn't have a risk and you have been coming to that forum since Sept 2007

Your are worrying needlessly without any basis for your concerns in HIV science. HIV is a fragile virus. It is not transmitted from environmental surfaces such as you have described.

Blood touching nicks, scratches, cuts, sores and the like are not risks. To POSSIBLY be at risk picture having a gaping, open and actually bleeding wound into which fresh HIV+ blood was somehow being poured. Was that your situation? I don't think so. ...you were not at risk.

No you didn't have a risk for HCV either.

Goodwin, I am beginning to think you have too much time on your hands. Ditto to what Rod said about HCV. No risk, no risk, no risk.
