Propolis
« on: April 10, 2009, 07:05:07 PM »
Does anyone take this supplement ?

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/natural/patient-propolis.html

The effectiveness of propolis against herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2 and parasitic infections has been demonstrated in early studies.

Note
may interact with anti-HIV agents (antiretrovirals)

The Prpoplis liquid is fabulous if you place it on a mouth ulcer. Ive used a earbud soaked in a few drops of propolis liquid and dabbed it on my mouthsores. It deadens the pain and heals really fast.
Tastes aweful though. :P but its wonderful for mouthsores!!!
id like to get some more and try it on my sore bum! (I suspect I may have a haemmoroid and Im sure the propolis liquid will help with the itch and pain.)-Its a risk Id like to take.
The liquid lasts a very long time and I ended up throwing mine away cause it was years old.
Propolis is made from bees-wax if I remember correctly (?)
