Carrington? How 'Dynasty' of him.

Wow! I wonder what made you think he was scamming you? Be careful theres alot of folks looking to rip you off online... just go with your instinct... your gut feeling usally does not let you down... I've had several contact me... I don't give out any more information than I'd give out to a stranger on the street... also, if the person wants you to connect immediately by way of phone and or your email... delete them from your list...

This happens on the Poz.com personals every so often. It's pretty easy to detect the phonies. Their language is often gushing and flattering to the point of being ridiculous. Asking for or even hinting about money is a 100% guarantee that they're scam artists. Also I'm highly suspicious of people who are way younger than me or live in distant places. They think older guys like me are so desperate for companionship that we'll jump at the opportunity when a younger guy expresses interest.

Dixieman offers good advice about not contacting anyone who immediately asks for your e-mail or phone number.
