Just needed a scientific evaluation....
« on: March 20, 2009, 08:12:06 PM »
I would like to ask for some assistance with the following queries :

1. If Both partners have poor Oral Hygene, cut & dry lips, gum disease or frequently bleeding gums & Mouth Ulcers & they engage in open mouthed kissing which involves the exchange of saliva & maybe some blood along with it & one of the partners is HIV ve+ (being recently infected)...what is the quantum of risk to the other partner who is negative...?

2. I did browse through the forums looking for a few answers....when it's mentined a low quantum of risk for any particular situation, does it mean that these actions are low risk ever if the partner is confirmed to be HIV ve+.

I recently engaged in the activity i mentioned in point 1 of the post with a person i later found out was HIV positive...In addition i had also fingered her deep into her vagina & also received an approx 15 from her (with a condom ofcourse).

.
In the vaginal fingering...however the finger i used to perform it has a small roundish discoloration on it...which the doctor earlier told me was caused due to constantly holding cigarrettes around there......Can HIV permeate through areas like these ??? or would it have to completely broken skin or freshly cut wound.....

Í was only posting here because of these hypothetics that wre involved....Kindly do educate me

Please let me know whether i could be infected ???? What is the level of risk in point 1.......I've been having weakness, irritable bowels & muscle aches ever since, also developed a runny nose & kinda feel hot all over with redness in the eyes....could these be symptoms of HIV.......I'm unable to sleep peacefully since the incident...please help me out......even thought my partner was found to be HIV ve+ i've not broken off from her......I'd like to support her..............!!

I had bitten the area close to the ulceration in my mouth & injured it morning of the day i had engaged in the kissing.....she had also stuck her tongue inside my mouth......& i did feel an sourish taste in my mouth when i kissed.....So i guess there was blood....would the presence of blood with her saliva or in her mouth turn the tables on me ????

Has there ever been a documented case of transmission via kissing involving the exchange of Blood ???? The CDC seems to have mentioned a case......How much amount of blood exchange would there need to be in order to have transmissionm occur....???

No risk in kissing or fingering no matter what type of spin you want to put on it.

Hi thanx for the reply.......So there is no way transmission would have occured in the situation i have described scientifically right ??? even if there was blood mixed in her saliva.....with the poor oral conditions that i had...with gum cuts, chapped lips & the ulcers inside my mouth.....& the fingering bit isnt also a major concern i hope....well its more like a discoloration not fully  broken skin.....the rest of hands & fingers are pretty healthy.....

I:ve also been having se verely chapped lips in addition to the symptoms i earlier described since the lst few days.....is this symptom in any way consistant with hiv or any std ?

Just wanted to know if scientifically transmission this way is possible or has ever occured ??? really wanna move on with my life if this wasnt too much of a risk !

Fingering however "deeply," kissing of all sorts including with any possible oral bleeding and getting a blowjob are all non-risk situations for HIV transmission.

Sexually the only things you really need to be concerned about in relation to HIV transmission are vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as you consistently use condoms for those activities you will be well protected as far HIV and sex are concerned. It really is that simple.

Cheers.

Andy, must say youre looking great in the picture....cheers....

no i did not engage in any vaginal or anal sex...& i did wash my hands completely  before touching & washing my penis again....

So you would say there is any need to carry out any testing or follow up with regards to this situation ? i have not been overly sexually active recently before this incident.....Kindly do advise so that i could  get on with my life as usual...

Thanx again for all the help !!!

Nothing you did put you at risk and I don't see any need for testing.

However, we do in general suggest that anyone who is sexually active ought to regularly have a full STD panel done just as a precaution. That means at least annually because other STDs are much easier to acquire than HIV.

Cheers.

After the amazing evaluation of my situation...i really thought that my stresses have ended...until about a few days ago i have now committed an act of absolute insanity.....

I was really stressed out about the incident the stress had caused some really troublesome body and headaches.......so here i go again..i'm back on these forums.......I'm feeling ashamed but here i go again  i don't know how you guys would react..........but you guys i guess is all i have now who can help out...

I find myself at what looks like a really top class looking spa......went in there for a massage to relieve the stress...the aches......the massage girl who looks to be in her late 20's early thirties......starts off with a back  leg massage with oils......

After that she turns me around........ winks at me.........first i dont know why she's doing that.....later i find out it's her way of asking me whether i need a handjob.....she says do you want me to pump you.....God knows what i'm thinking i oblige.....

But i can't get erect right away...so she applies oils all over my penis.......retracts the foreskin and then presses her bare fingers and thumb on the head of my penis with the oils and  slowly strides her fingers across the aperture of the penis........Now i really do not know if there was any blood on her fingers or any freshly acquired cut on her fingers........if there was i'm sure the blood from the fingers would have been in immediate contact with my exposed penis, the aperture of the penis with the foreskin being retracted....without there being much time for the blood to be exposed to the air...i guess the transmission of blood could have been immediate........Have i done the unthinkable......one act of insanity begets another.........i went in for a massage to relax  now have i taken my luck too far........

After i get erect she masterbates me till i climax...with her bare hands and then wipes me off with a tissue.......

The massage girl did not use any gloves for the penile stimulation now did i wear a condom....

Is there a possibility that i am infected now.....i know i have a lot of issues with regards to my morals now...i have messed again  i need to a counsellor......

Does Hiv transmission occur this way ??? Has it occured in the past.......i went to the Doc, he suggested a PCR test because there was blood involved...even though he said it's not stand alone  i need to repeat elisa tests at 6 weeks  then  months........the PCR came back NOT Detected a week after this exposure..

Please help me with my predicament......I really need help guys....i know my choices in life needs to change...but is my HIV status going to be affected by this act of insanity......

I kinda have a feeling that there was some blood on her fingers.....but i'm not totally sure.....given that there was would you see this as a serious risk scientifically ??????

RR, thanx for the reply.......yeah well i've been browsing around the forum for sometime now & i guess the major consensus here is that handjobs are considered...what i am really concerned about is the second incident with the massage girl where she rubbed my penis with her bare hands, pressed against the penis with her bare hands & the gently stroked the opening of the penis....with her fingers...

There could have been a possibility that she had acquired a fresh cut on her fingers whilst massaging me or just sometime back or may have had a small wound that could have been oozing...

Also wouldn't this situation lead to a scenario where the blood from her fingers would have come into immediate contact with my exposed penis (the head of the penis, the foreskin & the opening) & flowed directly into these areas without having anytime for air exposure...

Moreover the doc i went to said that there could be a risk if there were fresh wounds (bleeding & oozing) on the massage girl's fingers..which freaked me out & he suggested the PCR test.....

So i guess this second encounter of mine not being the conventional handjob is what has me all concerned..........I know i have a lot of other issues to take to counselling about my life, habits & choices.....which i will certainly.......just wanted know from your knowledge & experience whether i may have been at risk..based on the details i have provided in the segment above which i have mentioned in bold........Thanx & waiting for your reply.....

Find a doctor that knows what they are talking about. You didn't have a risk of contracting HIV no matter how many spins you want to put on it.

"Conventional" or not, a handjob is not a risk for HIV transmission. Period. You're all caught up in your head about this and it has absolutely no basis in HIV science.

A PCR test over having had a handjob? Absolutely ridiculous and a total waste of money. Any doctor who recommended that would make me question his knowledge of HIV, testing and anything else.

Let it go and get on with your life.

The Only reason i am concerned is that now after about 17 days post the incident i've developed symptoms of extreme fatigue, a feverish feeling most times & aching teeth....something i generally get during the flu ????

Are any of these concurrent with early HIV ???? also there is severe tingling & numbness in the feet & hands.........

A 2 week HIV Duo Combi Test i took (they said 4rth generation Elisa) also returned Negative....

Just really hope there's no risk at all....coz the hand job i received was really unconventional....

Choc,

If you have flu symptoms, maybe you have flu.

Your test came back negative because you don't have hiv. In order to become infected with hiv, first you must put yourself at risk by having unprotected ANAL OR VAGINAL INTERCOURSE. Getting a handjob won't do it - whether or not it's an "unconventional" handjob. Kissing won't do it. Fingering or being fingered won't do it.

UNPROTECTED anal or vaginal intercourse are the ONLY proven sexual risks for hiv infection.

If you continue to feel unwell, see a doctor. Whatever is going on has NOTHING to do with hiv.

If you read the Welcome Thread before posting like you're supposed to, you will have read the following posting guideline:

Quote
Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Please consider yourself warned.

Thanx for the warning Ann.....Must say actually it makes me feel better.....

So you're basically saying that even if she has a fresh cut & the blood did get into the opening of the penis...without having any time for exposure to the air i would still not be at risk scientifically... & i did not use a condom nor did she use gloves...she used her bare hands for the handjob stimulation...

I'm sorry if i may have pestered the experts on the forum....& i do understand that you too have busy schedules....

I will not post again.......however will just check back once to see your reply to the above question....

Thanx again Andy, Rapid & Ann for having helped me out......just really wanted to know what i have mentioned above in Bold.....is not a scientific proven methodogy of HIV transmission & i just don't have to bother testing or worrying over this incident anymore.....

choc,

Let's put your vivid imagination to a more logical use. Imagine you have a fresh cut on YOUR hand. Would you rub that cut on someone's penis, a penis that likely has at least a little bit of salty pre-cum on it? No, because it would HURT, wouldn't it. Even without the pre-cum, it would HURT. A person who uses their hands for massage to make a living isn't going to hurt their hands just for your gratification.

If she had just cut one of her fingers off, then there might be enough blood to worry about. I trust her fingers were all intact.

Not one person has ever been infected with hiv through being wanked off and you certainly are NOT going to be the first.

Post again over these NO RISK situations and you WILL be given a time out.

Please consider yourself warned for the LAST time!.
