gettting better
« on: February 28, 2009, 01:04:26 PM »
:) Its been a few days since finding out I am positive. I am still not sleeping well. Lastnight my mood improved and I was able to smile .... even laugh. I awoke this morning and thought I would be fine, then came an overwhelming feeling of helplessness and anxiety. I had to get out of bed and distract myself. I am feeling much better this afternoon, I am going to join a gym this afternoon, then do some yard work. Things will improve ..... I can feel that they are already getting better. I would really like to know waht to expect in the coming months..... as far as feelings, doctors and meds. I am really anxious to start meds .... its been a month since I became infected, I would like to hault any further damage to my body. Any advice?

CG,

Do you bother to read the responses you've gotten in your other threads? If you had, you'd know that I asked you to keep to one thread until you've had your diagnosis confirmed. You're not considered to be hiv positive until you've had both a positive ELISA and a positive Western Blot result. Please stop posting additional threads and respond in the ones you already have going.

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts
