Simple way to stop smoking
« on: February 23, 2009, 06:00:04 PM »
I am amazed by the way I quit smoking since a week.
Amazed by the fact that it's so easy.
I am just using a nicotine spray.

There are 4 spray, to take the one after the other, each of them containing less and less nicotine.

I have been smoking for 10 years 2 packets a day, and since a week now, I have smoke only 3 cigarettes.
Not that I was craving, but just to smoke.

I also started to train heavily since.
Thanks to have stop smoke. After a boxing match where I give my best last sunday, I was totally exhausted. So exhausted that I thought I would need oxygen for 1 min.
My feeling was that if I haven't quite for this week, I would have KO myself.

Cause really, I am breathing much better (deeper) than ever these last 10 years.

Stop smoking is really a must. If you hesitate, try it !

Best Luck

John

it's good to hear that you've been able to quit smoking. ;D

I just finished four weeks on Chantix and have gone just over 21 days without smoking. I stopped smoking for a while last year when I started to ride a bicycle again. I tried riding and smoking once at the first; but that was just too freaking much! LOL and cough! cough! So I used Chantix and quit for 110 days; but then things went bad for my partner and I started smoking again.

Starting my life over without Jim, I've been trying to get back to where I was a year ago. I planned this out so that I will have not smoked a cigarette for 47 days when I turn 47 next month. ;) Thankfully the weather in Ohio will be better after my birthday (in the middle of the month) and I'll be back on the bike this Spring.

Though I understand I'll have good health benefits from not smoking, I only quit because every time I turn around they're taxing cigs and I'm just too damned poor to be able to afford to smoke. According to the Chantix website, I spent $1860 of my yearly $6336 disability money on cigs, living on just barely $4000 a year. (Yikes!!) I have written to all of my congressional reps and complained about tying s-chip and other child medical insurance programs into the dwindling income source of cigarette taxes. Taxes which only encourage more people to quit smoking and quit paying into the fund; thereby not having any money to coverage children's health care. (Doh! My senator obviously needs some remedial math and basic econ 101). So I am reclaiming nearly $2000 to spend on my welfare this upcoming year; and proving to my Senator that he is a dumbass for relying on my (now nonexistent) cig tax money to pay for anything.

Good luck and best wishes to staying off the smokes until this bad habit is a distant memory ;)

Nicotine Spray? Ive never heard of it, where would I get it?

Poz08- Yes I tried Hypnosis and it worked surprisingly well,  I can tell you that i immediately had no craving for cigarettes...however about a week later I started back. I really dont think I was ready at that point to quit. Ill probably try it again soon because Texas is going up on their cigarette tax by approx $1/pack and I will not be able to afford it any longer

it's actually a new federal tax of about $10 a carton. It was originally going to be $0.62 a pack but is up to about $1.01 a pack now. Also on loose tobacco (for those already rolling their own because of the prices) the tax is rising from $1.10 per lb. to $24.78 per lb.  :o

this tax money is going to fund SCHIP for children's health care - until no one can smoke at those prices.
Then what'll happen when those kids need medical help??  ???

The idea is that the tax money will fund SCHIP at first -- then as tax revenue declines because of less smoking, SCHIP will be effectively be funded through the cost savings from Medicare and Medicaid due to less payments for COPD, lung cancer, ...

Sure it is just an approximate budgeting device, but isn't that better than having no budget?

Hey John! I agree. what is the name of that spray?  ???
But more important, how are things going? Still not smoking?

It's definitely difficult, even with some type of aide. I keep thinking I'd "like" one; but I don't feel like I "need" one anymore. I'm still having some of the dreaming side effect from the Chantix (nothing bad, just "vivid" dreams which leave me tired after a night of dreaming LOL) but it's been fading out as I took the last dose a couple days ago.

Sure it is just an approximate budgeting device, but isn't that better than having no budget?
I guess <-- said grudgingly ;)

but doing it on the backs of only a select group of Americans who are engaging in a legal activity
seems very "un-american", if you get my drift.

but if this is going to be fairness in America, I've got a list of other groups that can be taxed to pay for a lot of other unrelated projects. LOL ;D For the last 2 decades weighting in at only 130 lbs, it seems like I've been waiting forever for the gov't to start taxing junk food to get some $$ out of all those fat people in an effort to pay for the medical costs incurred by obesity, much less to get those people off their butts and exercising. :D

I just think that if we start taxing some people more than others based on their "sins" (cig and liquor taxes being known as "sin taxes"), it won't be long until anything you do will be a "sin" - cause somebody is going to want your money. If we start taxing people on the costs of their illness or disorder based on how it's going to impact society, then a lot of diabetics, cancer patients, etc. better start paying up. ;)  :o :D

and, hmmm? "approximate budgeting device"?? is that like robbing peter to pay paul? ::) maybe gov't all over America wouldn't be in such a mess if they just tried to stick to a real plain old fashioned budget  :D LOL

Physical Address

It's really a very strong product: you feel it when you spray the mouth.

Here is a photo of the packaging and the content.
One bottle is missing, as I finished it already  ;D

To be noted that is you are interested ordering such product, you may want to order 2 boxes.
Indeed, each spray have a lower dose of nicotine.
I am using the spray 2, but I need to spray my mouth twice or 3 time to get the amount of nicotine I still need.

One boxe cost around 25 euros.

Sorry for the image quality.

Note
About the mental aspect, it is very important, and I am convinced that yoga or things like that are very helpful, as long as your mind is relax.

Now I started this program with a normal level of life stress, and it is working so far.
So no need to be Zen zen neither

Well, I don't know if it was the cigarettes or not exercising enough, but since few days, I got ... well my sexuality back without the blue pills, that was not a solution because of the effect of the sustiva on it (increasing CYP3A4 activity so making ED drugs almost useless).

I was having some dysfunctions at night since 2-3 months, and now everything is really back to normal.

Just willing to share this infos if you are having the same possible causes. Then just try to get back to gym and stop smoke. Seems that was my causes.
