Testosterone levels?
« on: February 11, 2009, 05:55:11 AM »
Just a simple question,

What are normal testosterone levels in men in their thirties?

My doc said that mine is normal at 17. Sounds kind of low to me so I thought I would ask you all.  8)

Testosterone is measured differently in different labs. The lab I go to measures normal free testerone as

10.8 - 24.6 pg/ml.  If your testosterone was measured in pg/ml than you are  in the normal range.

I just had this test done, my ID Doc does this test at least twice a yr. my normal free testosterone level was 9.2 down form 11.5 pg/ml.  about 6 months ago, the highest 14.5 to lowest 9.2 pg/ml. so, according to my ID Doctor ,my levels are in the normal range, ( at my age 52 yr. old male) and that I have nothing to worry about  ;D
