Cyndi Lauper was this year's Grand Marshal for the KY Derby Parade.  Her audio was dropped during her performance.  Then, she didn't realize her mic was indeed hot, and dropped the f bomb live on air.  I uploaded this myself.  I returned to my former employer to assist in televised coverage.  I missed most of her performance, as I was busy.  I did get to say hello to her.  However, once again like what happened with Enrique, I didn't request a photo together.  She was running around and everyone was too busy.

Well, I saw some fabulous nutcases on buses and cable cars in San Francisco.  Even had my favorites.  But SF is so small and yes NYC's are tops.  Also there is some psychological kicker to it all being underground, speeding through tunnels.

Why, philly? Why do you post these things?  Is it to torment me? I don't know if it's the jacked up grill, the muumuu or the fact that she's singing (poorly) about actually choosing to drink Sunny D, but this woman makes me want to fly to where she lives and physically remove the internet connection from her home so that she can't embarrass herself on youtube anymore.

The Sunny D girl is very active in her comment section.  You didn't know what Sunny D was??  The commercials got on my nerves.  Kids opening the fridge and saying, "Purple stuff, soda, oh wow, Mom got Sunny D."

These ain't t shorts but movies where one is called "The Butch Factor" and the other "National Geographic Explorer Testosterone Factor."

Is there a gay man out there who hasn't pondered the meaning of masculinity?

Insightful interviews mixed with entertaining eye-candy make this fast-paced testosterone tour a must-watch movie for all gay men. From the Castro clone culture of the 1970s to today's Bears and gym rats this fascinating investigation of gay men and masculinity blows the lid off old stereotypes and showcases a strapping battalion of interviewees including muscle men, rodeo riders, rugby players and cops. The men speak candidly on a range of topics from homophobia to metrosexuality to embracing effeminacy as they reveal what it means to be a gay man today.

National Geographic Explorer Testosterone Factor: Leading researchers in psychology, biology and anthropology reveal this powerful male hormone’s fascinating influence on strength, status, success, and even commitment.

I watched the original King Kong in restored HD version late last night. It has fabulous art direction, everything is creepy and frightening on the island.  And the New York scenes are great too.  Its gory as hell, dark, and very sexual.  Roger Ebert wrote a piece about it saying it was the beginning of everything he seems to dislike about today's bombastic special effects summer blockbusters.  But I say its much better than this stuff today, because of the violent sexual undertones and the gore and the precise criticism of cynical, reckless, showbiz.
Great summer movie!

Here's an odd body count video:
