AMG--2009 Boston--T-Shirt Vote

Hello Everyone:   

O.K., we've received 4 really great suggestions for the AMG--09 Boston T-shirt design.  So now the time has come to try and make a choice.

First, I want to thank Basquo, Winnie, and Cliff for taking the time and effort to put forward their ideas.  You guys are fantastic!   

Secondly, I'd like to encourage everyone to view the choices, and if you hope or plan to be a part of AMG--09 Boston, then please take a second to vote.

So here are the 4 choices:

Hello Everyone:   

You've got less than 24 hours to cast your vote, if you have not already done so.  Time is of the essence here.

Right now, we are looking at a tie.

In the event that is the final outcome, we have two choices:

1.  We could try a quick re vote, offering members the choice of the current two top vote getter's.  (Frankly, I don't think this is the way to go.  However, if that is what the group wants then that is what we'll do.)

2.  A coin toss to determine which option is the final choice.  The way I suggest we do this is as follows:

A.   I'd ask a member to decide which choice is selected by heads or tails. 

B.  I'd ask that member to PM two other members with their choice.  I.E.  Heads it's option #1, Tails it's option #4.  Or visa verse, Heads it's option #4, tails it's option #1.

C:  The choice will not be sent to me.

D.  I'll flip a coin and announce what the result was (heads or tails).

E.  The member who pre determined what the outcome would be will then announce which option has been selected.

In other words, I'll know the result of the coin toss, but  I won't know what the result means.  The member who makes the call and sends a PM to two other members will know what the outcome means, but will not actually know what the outcome is.

This is just a suggestion, in the event we are looking at a tie.  And I'm certainly open to all input.

Whatever the final outcome is, can I just say one thing? 
We've been given 4 really great choices, and I can't thank everyone enough.  This has been fun!

It'll be our 5th year, our 5th gathering, our 5th opportunity for members to gather and experience the personal contact that has kept AMG going.

option 'b' sounds like a great idea.  HOwever, i respectfully request that I not be considered a participant in the 'coin toss'.  You see, rab. I'm totally confused and can't make heads or tails out of what you're talking about.  I think you'll understand.  It's an AIDS thing.

You are so thorough and caring as everyone who has ever met you knows, your concern for getting things done right and properly is so loving of you, a bit anal retentive perhaps, but I LUV'S MY RAB!!!

I say if there is still a tie you go ahead and choose, we will all live happily ever after - unless of course we have to sit down and figure out your post!

Oh, RAB I think we all trust you.  Just assign each option heads or tails and flip it yourself!  Or you can extend the vote by a day or two.  Either way will be fine.

Sheesh!  I don't know why it seemed all that confusing.  For goodness sakes it all made perfect sense to me!  And I hadn't even had a Manhattan yet!

We would like to thank each of the designers for four beautiful designs to choose from.  All were very worthy of consideration.  We are sure that these commemorative shirts will be worn with pride and as our symbol of unity while in Boston and once we each return to our homes after AMG.  Bravo to all including our own RAB who ramroded the selection process.  And he can still herd cats, if you know what we mean.

The design might work better on a gray shirt as opposed to a white one.

I'm sure if you bring a Sharpie then Mini could draw one on the back of your shirt.

Dennis and I discussed this a while back.  Since he already has a Paypal account and a relationship with the possible vendors, it seemed best to let him handle the t-shirt orders.

I suspect he'll be posting something relatively soon on how we can order our shirts.

To everyone who submitted, voted, or even just viewed, I can't thank you enough.  Seriously!

I think we've made a great start on AMG--09 Boston, the time will be here before we know it!

For budgeting purposes, I anticpate the price to be between $10 and $15 (probably closer to $10).
