What series are you watching?
« on: November 28, 2008, 06:07:20 am »
Help, True Blood has already ended.

Is there a good, NEW series to try?  Has to be new.

By the way, what do you watch? Old or new..

Me:  Brothers and Sisters, Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty, Samantha Who, Dirty Sexy, Prison Break, True Blood, L Word, Daily Show, Little Britain USA, SNL.

I watch on my computer, mostly while doing other stuff - folding laundry, trying to figure out HIV bills and insurance (!!!!! oh my god this is expensive !!!!), polishing silver, posting online here, you get the picture...  Its like radio.

True Blood I stopped and actually watched the screen, with fascination.  Dirty Sexy got better this year.  Prison Break got better in its 2nd season, now its washed up, but I still LOVE TBag, and all the other bad guys...  Desperate Housewives on its last legs and I'm pissed they pissed away the gay neighbor plot, giving the guys nothing to do now for too long...  Samantha Who just for frivolous fun. It replaces that Anne Heche series, for me, can't even remember the name but I liked the characters..  Ugly Betty - she needs to dump those braces, make the transformation and start taking power --- its getting repetitive.  Vanessa Williams has done a great job but the character needs to evolve.  I like the throwaways when she is momentarily human.  I like Brothers and Sisters, mostly for that old ham Sally Field who is just wonderful, and Rob Lowe is quite good too.  I never saw him in the West Wing but he's developed into a very watchable actor.  Crista Flockheart is kinda creepy however. Looking forward to L Word!

MODIFIED - Oh yeah, who could I not say, also 30 Rock, which rocked, but kinda smarmy lately.

im watching and loving  "Rome" on DVD right now. i totally dig Mark Anthony. I also liked Jack Bauer on "24" (doesnt the David Palmer scenario make u think of Obama, hopefully michelle wont be like sherri palmer). Ugly betty's also great, her boyfriend the accountant' kind of hot in nerdish way. I cant watch Prison Break i cant warm up to the theme.  And im trying to watch "Heroes" but the whole superpowers thing is kind of childish to me.  Love the detective shows like "Law&Order" and "Cold Case" and" Crossing Jordan", "Without a Trace".

"The Amazing Race", "Heroes", "Grey's Anatomy", "Desperate Houswives" - and I agree about the gay neighbors, the show isn't giving them anything to do! "House", "Ghost Hunters", "Top Chef" and looking forward for "24" although I wasn't too impressed with the 2 hour movie and "Lost".  I use to watch "Dirty Sexy Money" but I didn't like this season. The first season was campy fun, now...it's not so much fun anymore so I stopped watching it.

I started Rome on my computer coming home from work on the train.  There was a very sexy sex scene and I felt impolite having it on my screen in public!  Well, it looks like good fun...

Rome was excellent, I watched it when it was on HBO... I love James Purefoy(Mark Anthony), Kevin McKidd(Lucius Vorenus) and Titus Pullo who is now the new and hopefully improved Punisher. I am also into the Tudors too, can't wait for that to start back up. I hate that I missed True Blood because I love my vamp shows.

What I have been watching lately seems to be a lot of reality shows like A Real Chance at Love with the brothers from I love New York. Though I think most of the women on the show are just in it for the 15 minutes of fame. I have also gotten into the Scream Queens simply because I am a follower of the Saw movies and whoever wins that will star in Saw 6. I have also been keeping up with Top Chef and loves watching Iron Chef America. And of course, I must say I watch WWE faithfully and am a part of the WWE Universe. And did you know John Cena is my baby's daddy...*lol* Use to be a big CSI fan but since they killed of Warwick Brown(Gary Dourdan) and Grissom(William Petersen) is leaving, I may just stop watching even though they are suppose to have Laurence Fishburne replace Grissom.
