unprotected sex with poz partner
« on: November 10, 2008, 03:22:54 AM »
Hello out there...i am thinking of having an unprotected sexual relationship with someone who is positive. I have been positive for 20 years. My CD +600 VL undetected...my partner is not sure of his stats.

I would like some opinions from people who have had this experience and to know if i am putting myself at risk and my partner.

Note: this is a male to male relationship!!

Unfortunately I haven't got much advise to offer, but I think the risk is from other STIs.  If you are sure your partner is free from them I don't see anything stopping you from enjoying sex without protection.  If its HIV you know you have it already so shouldn't be much of problem.  Hope someone will chip in with sound advise

Enjoy

Hi m8lukie,

This forum is for women only - sorry. I see you have also posted this in the LTS forum, so I'll lock this one.

Welcome to the forums, btw. You might want to read the main Welcome Thread where you'll find out what else this website has to offer, and you can also have a read of our posting guidelines.

Some of the individual forums also have Welcome Threads when the posting guidelines are slightly different - like here in the Women's forum. Please don't post in this forum again. Thanks! ;)

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts
