Colin Powell will be on Meet The Press this morning and rumor has it he will endorse Obama. I pray he does, but I'm not holding my breath. Fingers crossed.

It doesn't air until 10:30 am here, but CNN just announced it.  Did you see Powell speak to the press outside the MtP studios in DC and he indirectly lashed out at Michelle Bachmann as well as the "socialist" card that all Republicans are playing?  Next thing you know he'll be changing his party registration.

Holy shit Powell endorses Obama!

I'm not so surprised - but quite please he's made if official. Didn't Powell fall out with the Bushites years ago? If my memory serves me well, Powell always was more of a middle-of-the-road republican.

Yes, Colin had a fall out, with king george, after he found out that America had been lied to, about the need for the war in Iraq.  I would love to see Obama, offer Powell the Secretary of State job.  Just think what those two men may accomplish.

Please let Obama be elected!

It would be great to see some retribution for Powell.  I am still of conflicted opinion about his performance at the UN making the case for the war. It seemed to me that he was telling lies and seemed to me he had to know his case was flimsy.

It seemed to me that he was being a good soldier for his administration, who despicably destroyed Powell's great integrity and stature by letting him play the good soldier.  But I also felt like, hey Powell could have quit then... Refused to play.  I'm not sure how I feel now.

But it would be great if Powell could be rehabilitated.

....just to be sure: this is the Colin Powell you're talking about right?

if so, then these two images remind me that he was quite instrumental in "lying to America" (and quite a few others)...

I hate to think of what he could accomplish (again) if in power....

just my 2 european cents...

Yeah i was referring to the same. It was a sad deduction from his integrity.
