Infected after threesome?
« on: October 17, 2008, 01:25:09 PM »
About six weeks ago I was involved in a threesome.I wore a condom except when she game me a blow job.I'm kinda scared now because I remember that he came in her mouth right before she gave me a blow job.About 2 weeks ago I started feeling week for no reason, sores in my mouth(one purple),a swollen lymph node in my groin area, sinusitis and dry skin on my penis.I got a test done about 2 weeks ago and the test came back negative. What is my risk of HIV?

Tool,

It doesn't matter that someone came in her mouth first, getting a blowjob is NOT a risk for hiv infection. Not only is saliva not infectious, but it also contains over a dozen different proteins and enzymes that damage hiv and render it unable to infect.

You didn't have a risk. If you feel unwell, see a doctor. Whatever is going on has nothing to do with hiv.

Tool,

Nobody can diagnose you over the internet and we won't even try. If you're worried about having picked up one of the more easily transmitted STIs, you'll have to see a doctor and have tests run. It's the ONLY way.

We can tell you, however, that nothing you did during the threesome put you at risk for hiv infection. You don't need further hiv testing at this time - you ARE hiv negative.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple. Read through all three condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use them with confidence.

I've heard that having a STI increases the chance of getting HIV.If I were to have an STI when I received the blow job, would that have put me at risk?

That's right. Even if she had fresh cum in her mouth before she blew you, there still wouldn't be any risk for any HIV transmission. In the entire history of the epidemic, not one guy has ever been confirmed to have been infected that way. It's safe to say you won't make history by becoming the first.

Really.

When they do blood work at the hospital, would they let you know if you had HIV? Do they even check for it? Just wondering

You are not going to get an HIV test unless you ask for it.

Tool,

Not only do you have to ask to be tested for hiv, but in most places you also have to sign a consent form.

And no, before you ask, they can't tell your hiv status by looking at general bloodwork (usually called a CBC). ONLY antibody testing will reliably inform you of your hiv status.

Tool,

NO. It won't. No bacteria will. Bacteria will not cause false negatives either, just in case you were planning on asking that next. Pregnancy and some auto-immune diseases can sometimes cause false positive results, but these will be caught out by the Western Blot follow-up test.

Why are you still fretting about hiv infection anyway? (don't answer that, it's a rhetorical question.) You aren't going to be the first man on the planet to become infected from getting his dick sucked right after some other guy got HIS dick sucked. Really you aren't.

And if you insist on continuing to post over this NO RISK situation, you WILL be given a time out. If you've read the Welcome Thread before posting like you're supposed to, you will have read the following posting guideline:

Quote
Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Please consider yourself warned.

Tool,

Go see your doctor. Whatever is going on has nothing to do with hiv.

YOU DO NOT HAVE HIV!!!

I'm giving you that time out you've been warned about. Do not attempt to create a new account to get around your time out because if you do, you will be permanently banned.
