HIV Prevention and Testing > Am I Infected?

Question about test I received

(1/2) > >>

Tested at 6.5 weeks through Kaiser-Permanente after a low-to-nonexistent risk exposure. Test name was called something like "HIV1/2 Screeening".  Test was negative.  I'm concerned that this test was not a 3rd or 4th generation test, which almost always detect infections withing the first 6 weeks post-exposure.  Based on what your knowledge of testing, was this test utilizing the most up-to-date technology?

İf so  what was your test generation?I wonder what 1-2-3 generations differences...
