trust and comfort
« on: October 04, 2008, 05:18:23 PM »
Hi, I have a question. Growing up I had a troubled relationship with my father, and open up myself fully with my feelings and emotions. Point being the therapist I'm seeing for counciling and my doctor are both women. When I signed up for those services they asked me if I had a preference  concerning gender. When I said I want a woman, they paused and looked at me assuming it was weird. point being when it comes to opening up, getting through struggles, problems, crisis, need help or to be consoled it has always been a female friend, or my sister. Yet HIV is different and havent told anyone, at least not for a while. Do you think it's okey if we talk even though it 's a woman forum. It sounds weird, but I'm not a weirdo or pervert or something along those lines. Just want a friend. Thanks and prayers for all. James

Hi James

I have moved your thread..as the other forum implies it's for "Positive Women only"..if you need to talk I'm sure the ladies of the forum can answer your questions here in the "Living with".

Cheers
Jan

Welcome to the forums James.  We women will talk with you; just not in our own forum.  We're pretty territorial about that. ;)
