Had a blast!
« on: June 30, 2008, 02:56:04 PM »
I went to the Downtown Street Festival with my curious-bi-sexual-lesbian friend, my mom and one of her friends.  We had some beers, my mom and her friend had some glasses of wine and listend to Joan Jett and the Blackhearts perform live.  We then meet some people who were also drinking and they had informed us there was a foam party at one of the gay clubs so naturally, we went after the concert. We danced the night away and my mom being very friendly and talkative when she's been drinking, she was just friendly with everyone.  There were a group of girls that even bought us some shots and a round of drinks.  Although, it was a little claustrophobic with all that foam and not being able to see anything, we didn't care we were slippery when wet!!  We had such a great time.

I love Joan Jett.  I bought one of her CD's just to get her version of "Crimson and Clover."  She's also very hot.

Let me get this right....you took your MOTHER to a foam party?  Had I tried that I would have gotten a long lecture on the evils of drink and bars.

Sounds like you had a great time. How was Joan Jett?

I immediately thought of this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdJqbvPrY2c

Yep! My mom still likes to have a good time! I party with my momma! I'm such a proud son, I raised her right.
GSOgymrat - That song is soo perfect!
Joan Jett was great!  She looked great, sounded great...that woman can still rock!  She sang all of her popular songs, "Crimson and Clover" being one of them.  She also sang my favorite song "I Hate Myself for Loving You" and she ended with "I Love Rock n Roll". Everyone had their arms raised, clapping along with the beat.  Excellent show!
