The Pope is in Washington, D.C.
« on: April 15, 2008, 09:07:21 PM »
I understand that the Pope is in Washington, D.C. and will make an appearance at the new stadium that stands where various infamous clubs for the "children" once stood. The city is all abuzz. Interesting. Several "entertainers" wore Prada pumps and performed at the clubs and now the Pope will stand at the very same spot wearing his Prada. Coincidence?  I just hope lightning doesn't strike during the ceremony. I'm rubbing my beads just in case.   :)

He is going to be a few blocks from where I live. The news here is all abuzz about it.  METRO had a Pope bobble head on a youtube commercial about riding METRO to the ball park to see him but they had to remove it because there was a complaint that the thing was not wearing the propper attire.

There are all kinds of roads closed, security and on and on for this visit. Dubya even went to Andrews AFB to welcome him. Something he has not done for any other visiting dignitary.

Here is a link to the video. Anyone need a MASS PASS?

I wonder if he would consider coming to my town, being that Notre Dame is here and all.  If he did, I would so love to unload a lot of things in a confessional. ;)

What were all of the names of the clubs down there?  I used to go when I first came out, as I grew up outside of DC.  I recall many a night at Tracks, but there were also some places close by, like La Cage Aux Folles which had an upstairs shop that I bought all of my early VCR porn collection at.

Bush & the Pope?

I shudder to think of those two evil doers in the same room. Who knows what fresh hell they might cook up?

Just saw on the news about the Pope at the White House.  They have celebrity singers belting out religious hymns right there at the White House - which the Bush posse (not suprisingly) defends as appropriate.  Does anybody else happen to see this as a huge cross of the line between church and state?  I do, and I think it's highly inappropriate.  If there was any question from the population at large as to where those of different (or non) faiths really stand in this country, well...here's your answer.

Maybe I'm being overly sensitive about the whole thing, but I can't help it.  The Pope, the Vatican....they freak me out.  They strike me as some sort of wolf in sheep's clothing mafia.

What? Is there still a separation of church and state in NeoCon America?

Did you notice what the Army band played during the ceremony this morning...all y'all Southern boys  stand proud....  The "Hymn of the Republic"...full verses by the entire US Army Band and elite choir..  I am surprise they didn't play "Dixie"   just to be politically correct!

I know. And the 'pilgrimage' to the mass goes no more than 50 metres away from my front door - I get my pick of the bunch.  ;)

Oh, a question to you Matty.. is s/he a male-to-female transvestite or a female-to-male one, or one of those Victor/Victoria takes that he's indeed a man pretending to be woman pretending to be man? For the life of me I still can't figure it out? Some of us are still disputing whether Mother Teresa was actually a mangy Polish man who had perfected the concept of rising money for the church by torturing poor sick people.

I was more shocked that Laura Bush was wearing white.  She can call it cream all she wants.  You aren't allowed to wear white when you have an audience with the Pope, unless your a Queen.  So, naturally I'll where white when he makes it this way.   :D

And when he gets to Australia I hope Matty wears a low cut and very, very RED dress, but even then he couldn't possibly outdress some of the cardinals could he?
