Evening ladies:

Queen, I hope you're getting things worked out.  Have you read your blog?  Someone left some juicey comments.  Just hang in baby.

Well, I went with my gay bff to Applebee's for dinner.  It was so-so.  I probably wouldn't want to eat there again.  For the price I paid there, I could have gone to Outback and gotten better.  Oh well, live and learn.  There was also a family sitting at a table across the row from us that had three young children and one of them screamed so frickin' loud.  I hate that shit.

My granddaughter called me tonight.  I'm going to take her to see 'Horton Hears a Who' tomorrow.  I hear it's cute.  So, we'll see how it goes.  Other than that, nothing, nada, zilch.  I did go to a frozen custard place and got a mud sundae and am thinking of purging now. (jk).

GOOD JOB with the thread, Keeping  ;D

Win-  I am glad to hear you are alright, I was wondering about you when I saw the news but I haven't been on much because I have been doing the PTO thing this week at my sons school(Thank goodness, it is over :)  )  Your hair looks great and I don't think you need makeup but then I am chapstick, mascara kind of girl.  I am going on 37 and I still need to learn to put it on  :-\

Queen-I was able to read your postings earlier but couldn't reply, I haven't read your blog.  Nobody can make your decisions for you, no matter what THEY think, you are a grown ass women.  For someone to suggest or whatever they did, to you that you should not spend your money on weed, obviously, doesn't have a clue about this game we call life.  Your not selling the shit, your doing in it in the safety of your own home, not bothering anyone so you can eat, which hopefully they realize you need to do in order to survive. Yes, we all know it is illegal UNLESS prescribed by a doctor but you can't tell me that this person doesn't break any rules or laws.  Doesn't cut any corners.  I have yet to meet the perfect person.  The only difference between you and this other person is that you have the balls to put yourself out there, if they did the same thing, don't you think we would find something "wrong"  You will never, ever, ever,ever......did I mention EVER? Make everyone happy or make them understand the whole picture, your priorities will never be thiers.  What is common sense to you, is like gibberish to someone else.  As far as the rest of the forum goes if it was or is something you enjoy don't stop because of these knuckleheads...everybody puts thier 2 cents in and that is all they are worth...2 cents. Yours and thiers.

Betty- Horton is cute.  Bring a big bag so you can sneak in the snacks  ;D I hit the dollar store everytime we go and just buy the popcorn.  How many days has it been smoke free, you are doing REALLY good!!!! ;D

Viv- My props to you, girlfriend.  I spent about 10 hours in my sons elementary school this past week and I don't know how you do it everyday  ;D  Thank God for people like you!!!!

Camm- Sorry to hear about your job and your bf.  Sounds like it is his loss and not yours.  I know it hurts now but you deserve A LOT more than that!!!

Blessed-  How are things going with you!

Hi to Wish and everyone else, hope everyone is well!

Thanks Snow. I got my nails and toes done today and of course my hair cut and had them do the highlights.
I've been in a funk. Feeling depressed for the last couple of days and todays excursion was an attempt to make me feel good.
My nails and feet look pretty but I still feel sad. I'll get over it. I spent more money than I like to on myself today. But thats fine.
Someone I love <not my honey> said something that hurt my feelings recently and I haven't been able to get it out of my head. Fortunately I get over things pretty quickly so if everyone else around me will let it alone I'll get over it. I just wish things that where said where not thoughts in the persons head.

I'm going to go read some of the posts now and see if I can catch up with everyone.

Just checking in. I played Warcraft until 6:15 am yesterday and then was back up by 10:40am. You would think I would be in a coma right now. I will be going to bed after I post here. I can't thank you ladies enough for your support with my blog. Yes, Wini, for me to be so ghetto fab, my blog seems to be quite popular though this last entry put me in the mind of a Jerry Springer episode. Betty, I did see where a few people got called on their shit, I could've ran with it but decided to show the assholes how a mature person rolls with it. I will be checking back to see if they have anything to comment on now that their shit has been put out there. At least I own up to my shit and don't hide behind different names. And I can call it like I see without being brutal towards a person's feelings.

Since I have gotten my glucometer, I have been sticking myself like crazy. My fasting sugars have been pretty high. I like this glucometer because it gives you averages of readings before and after meals along with an overall average. It also let's you comment on the readings too, if that makes sense. Like if your sugar is high from eating too much, you can choose ate alot or something. I don't have it in front of me.

Otherwise it has been a long day. I will start my hair tomorrow sometime, hopefully it will come out better. I couldn't find a book at the store that explained sew in. I even googled it and nothing. I guess I will learn from trial and error. Good Night.

Good morning all,

(just realized everytime I write that I am completely off timewise as you're about to hit the sack)

Win I didn't know you had weather trouble. Glad its over. I want to be in that pool so bad!! Like your hair. Only good thing about premature white - any color catches.

Snow, thx for the PM and the idea, that's really sweet.

Queen, in the blogging world, if your blog represents something and generates discusssion and response, it's succesful. As an owner of a blog that gets only the odd response once in a while, I would like to have that. Sometimes in good blogs the comments section is as lively as the blog itself. You will see that when you keep blogging you will learn to take these things in your stride. I think unknown to you you touch on a lot of people's nerves about political issues when you're just living your life as you know it, you represent something to these people that's why they get so heated, it's not your problem though;  just keep writing. Like some people see me (with HIV, scars, tatoooes etc) and they THINK they know what I am but they don't at all. I have let it get to me in the past but I try to understand I am not what some people think I am. And I dont have to worry all the time what they think. Though I am still a big wuss compared to people like Betty.

Cindy, hellllooo?

I have to go jogging it's just too beautiful outside, birds chirping etc. I went to spinning class yesterday, I might have well gone to a modelling agency everyone there (men & women) were super-tall, super sexy, super athletic. You don't know what it's like to live here people are so gorgeous and tall and slim, like in Scandinavia, and did I say BLONDE? and did I say super tan? like 70% of the population is a natural blonde and the rest are gorgeous exotic people. I'm exaggurating but not far from the truth. anyhoo I'm quite proud of myself, I didn't think I'd survive a spinning class but did pretty well. It did feel like something out of a Bridget Jones movie, except Bridget hiding here tatts and hoping that her HIV meds won't make her throw up in the middle of class.

Catch you later,

PS like your title Keeping  :-*

I'm still finding it hard to follow and remember everyone.......

And i am on a different time scale it seems - so by the time I get round to replying everyone else is in bed!!!

But I wanted to say to Queen - try not to get upset about the abuse on your blog, I know its hard to do this as I have been in a similar position about 4 or 5 years back due to having an internet stalker who was determined to slur my name on the internet............and as I run an internet based charity it was important that people had trust in me.

My 'stalker' responded to my blog and anonymously in very undermining and nasty but clever ways and also as a guest and in the charity forum and in addition traced and contacted women who used the charities online support by email to tell them 'how dangerous' I was!

I have not read your blog or the comments - where is it as I would love to read your blog the address of mine is on my signature -

but my stalker main concern was to discredit me - she told everyone I was a psychopath, who was using fronting a support charity as a scam both to get personal satisfaction out of damaging vulnerable women with Post Natal Illness, to satisfy my need to feel important/megalomania she called it -  and also to rip people off by asking for donations for the charity and just pocketting the money myself!!!! Which was ironic as we rarely get any financial support to run and while we now have a grant at that time most of the money to run it came out of my pocket anyway and every penny donated when straight to the charity!!!

Anyway I nearly had a breakdown over it - everywhere I turned on the internet it seemed this person this person was there...................even if i wrote on other forums and not the charity one i started she would often turn up and 'rubbish' me to the others on that forum.

I deleted the blog I had then and was scared to talk on the internet.  I began to suspect everyone and not to trust anyone........

everything she - or he, but I think it was a she - said I felt I had to refute i,e reply back to her and justify myself and tell her why I could not be doing the things she suggested I was, and that I was not this 'bad' person she was telling me and everyone else I was. because despite knowing it was not true, this persons acid anger really got to me in a deep down way and hit my triggers that I had worked so hard to change all my life since childhood about not feeling a worthwhile person and my low self esteem.

I am not sure exactly what changed to make her stop - but I think what changed was me!! I had built up such a good team to help me run the charity and many of them had become not just faceless posters on a web forum as many of us made the effort to meet face to face and travelled long distances to do so - Their support helped to give me the courage to realise that I was not in any way any of the things this person was saying and that my name was not mud over the internet and on the charity forum due to her efforts.................. as most just dismissed her as a nasty crank

So I stopped caring is what happened!!!
I also stopped responding to her, except very occasionally in a way that she could not have any doubt that I no longer cared what she said ..........................and gradually she just disappeared.
But I also reported the abuse to the internet police - they do exist at least here in the UK and as a charity i was able to make a complaint - and I think she was traced and warned

I look back now and can't believe that I let a faceless person on the internet upset my life so much - but it did !!! it often had me in tears, I experiencing huge self doubt to the extent I nearly closed down the charity ( which is relied upon by many women) at times I felt totally worthless the power of her attacks were so great - she seemed to know all my triggers which was why I also suspected everyone, even those I knew and loved .....and this is how they get to you too, as they are clever and seem to know stuff only a someone close to you will know, so it feels like it has to be someone you trust !!

but it is not - if you write on forums and blogs it is possible to meticulously piece together so much about a person - and people who do theses attacks can be so obsessed they spend hours piecing together your life and what makes you vulnerable - I doubt it is anyone you know and certainly no one you would suspect.

I am sorry to go on so much about my situation but I have not done this to hog this space.
It is just that when you are going through this sort of attack everyone tells you just to ignore them and they will go away - which is good advice and exactly what you have to do, and they do go away.

but when you are being stalked/attacked like this it is not so easy !! especially if they hit your buttons .

So I just wanted you to know why my advice is to stop caring, don't worry about it, it is them and not you - and that ignoring them and not biting does work.

Because at that time I was prominent on the internet in the UK due to the charity others since then have tried to do the same thing - stalkers like this, they do it for fun !!!!

(And at that time had also been on British TV a few times  to raise awareness of Post Natal illness as well as in womans  magazines and Sunday papers - I keep away from this now but others from my charity now go on the media instead of me)

But it has never got to me at all every again and no one has succeeded to upset me since or get a hold,  and they soon stop

But my heart goes out to anyone suffering this sort of Internet stalking, for a while a few years ago it made my life a misery and it is hard to combat,

Love Veritee

I am writing this in word first as this is the only way I can read the thread and respond to that which I want to  - sorry if I leave anyone out, even doing it this way as I do not know everyone well as yet it is hard to follow – but I think you are all wonderful!

Wendy – I love your hair, of course I only have your signature picture to go on, but I think it really suits you that colour and length.
Your yard looks lovely – where do you live as you have a swimming pool. I always wanted one and evening this climate some here in Cornwall do have swimming pools, there are two in this village. But it is only the very rich that can afford them here, or a lot richer than me. As the climate means they are expensive to heat and you have to maintain them all year when it is really only warm enough for about 3 to 4 months to use it – and when it is warm enough I can go to the beach – but it must be great to live somewhere where having a pool of your own is viable!

Sorry that someone you love hurt your feelings – this has happened to me recently. I find this the worst situation to cope with as it can get me down as I care what those I love say

Betty -  good luck with giving up smoking, I gave up about 2 weeks ago and while I do not find it as hard at all as giving up my glasses of wine will be , it was still difficult especially the first week and I do still crave.
Unfortunately the less I drink the more I want a cigarette and visa versa!!

On the wine front I managed yesterday to drink about a ½ of what I normally do and today will try cutting it to a ¼, so it is not going too badly

Queen – on the abuse issue, I forgot to add that my stalker also made much of the fact I have admitted/been open on the internet and in my forum and blog that I have taken various drugs and smoked weed etc in the past, insinuated I was selling it – even threatened to send the police round my house and even though I have not taken any drug  - apart from legal ones - for many years it still frightened me for weeks as the last thing I wanted was the trauma of police to ‘raid’ me to find out.

I agree with everything snow said about this, please do not let this person get to you and if smoking weed helps you please do as you like and need to!

On the subject of weed – I will never take it again as it makes me sick – always has so there is no point – but my husband is wasting badly with HIV and while the HIV drugs he is on now has put his CD4 counts up a bit he is still terribly thin. So as he used to enjoy a smoke of weed and it helped his appetite and he put on weight when he smoked I am actually thinking of getting some from a friend to see if it helps – does any one know if it will? As I am very worried about my husbands lack of weight

Love to everyone I have not mentioned, I hope you have a good day- or if your day is over as mine is beginning , I hope your day went well

Veritee,
I have got the same problem, still can't remember all stories and topics and all members.
So I only refer to a few of you.

Win- your hair and your nails look great. I wish I was able to do my nails like this, but I am very lazy and always cut them short like a man. ;D
It is ok if you spend a lot of money on yourself, you deserve it.

I did it too, changed my make up and spent a lot of money on mineral powder. It is great, does anybody of you use it?

I am envious of your pool win. Where do you live in the USA? Don `t tell me in California or Florida, would make me more envious.

I am still doing my exercises and I think my body got better although my hubby is laughing about it and says it will take more time to see results.

Today I am going to visit a friend of mine, we are going to go out to a disco and I will meet 27YEARS (another user from here).

Have a good day ladies.
Eres el aire que respiro,
Eres el compania de mi soledad,
Eres el luz que me ilumina,
Eres el camino en la oseuidad.

Morning ladies:

Queen, that new glucometer sounds really high-tech; sounds like it would be able to help track to see what happened when sugars get high.  Where did you get it?  Mine is alright; it only takes 15 seconds to find out what my sugar is.  I hope you got everything taken care of as to who it wasn't (I'm hoping it wasn't) who was posting those vile things in your blog.

Drag, you jog?  Wow.  As far as hiding tatts, I have one on each hand, so it's really impossible for me to hide those, unless I were to wear gloves all the time.  Looking back, I regret getting them.  Every time I meet someone, of course, that's the first thing they look at.  Which I suppose is pretty natural.  I also recently got my left eyebrow pierced, so more for people to gawk at.  Oh well.

Wendy, I don't feel a bit bad when I spend money on myself.  We all deserve that.

Veritee, did you use anything to help you quit smoking like the patch etc?  If I was still drinking, I wouldn't be able to give up cigarettes.  When I used to go to the bar, I'd smoke a pack easily while there.   To check out Queen's (Michelle's) blog, go under the Aidsmeds.com logo at the top left of the screen, and just click on 'blogs.'

Germangirl, I've never used the mineral powder.  I think it's supposed to be better for your skin isn't it?

Snow, yes, I always take in snacks at the theater.  I can't pay the prices they want there.  I usually do buy the popcorn there though.

Well ladies, I bought a pack of smokes last night.  Yeah, I fucked up.  Well, I will try again.  I guess as long as I don't quit quitting I'll be alright.  Cigarettes are just so expensive; but then, I was talking to a friend last night who told me where she lives they're almost $10/pack.(!)  I told her I would quit complaining so much.   I'm a bit disappointed in myself.  I had just gotten my apartment cleared of the smoke smell, etc.

Nothing earth-shattering going on.  I was going to work on the research paper for my Political Psych class today, but with taking my granddaughter to the movies, I will probably do it tomorrow instead.  I'm going to go to a salon to get my hair evened out.  I usually only go to the salon twice a year and (try) to cut my hair myself.  Of course that doesn't always work out so well.  I hope you ladies have a good day.  I'll be back later.

Good morning ladies. Not much going on here, just laundry. Woke up with a headache but(happily) ,it has gone away.                               Queen, glad to see that the car thing is moving along. I tried to read all the comments on your blog but can only see a few. Our computer is for shit but it's much better than nothing.             Veritee,  Hello. I didn't welcome you before(so many people to keep up with) but am so glad you are here. Love the hair.                                               Gremangirl, hope you have a great time at the disco. I have had the pleasure of actually meeting one person from here and talking on the phone to 2. It's nice to meet and talk to others like us.                       Win , your hair is very pretty. I like the color. Love the pool.   I started wearing makeup again about 4 weeks ago. I got this lipstick sample from Maybelline. And it lasts for 4 to 6 hours straight. So I started using it( bought 3 other colors, Too) and mascara and eyeliner. I will try to post a pic soon. I keep meaning to take new ones but always say tomorrow.                                                    Betty,    don't be too hard on yourself about the smokes. Nicotine is the most addictive substance ever created  IMHO.   Glad you got to go out. Appleby's is okay.      Hope your salon experience is nice. I got Robert's hair cut yesterday and mine about a month ago. Same lady. She does a good job. I can't cut a straight line so I will let her do it.                                             Anybody I missed , hope you have a great day. Later, Cristy      Edited to add. Betty, don't give up trying it. My father has smoked nearly all his life, one year ago the doctor told him that if he didn't give it up he will need a closed-circuit breathing apparatus in about a year cause he wouldn't be able to breath without it. He stopped on the same day.
If there hadn't been the force to do it he wouldn't have stopped it. It is hard to stop smoking when you are addicted to.
A friend of mine (the one I will visit today) has smoked for about 12 years (since school), then she stayed in hospital for an operation and stopped smoking by the way. After two years now she has started again, what a fool.

Mineral powder should be better for the skin cause it is all natural. My husband says it also looks more natural and better.

Eres el compania de mi soledad,
Eres el luz que me ilumina,
Eres el camino en la oseuidad.

Win- Your fingers and toes look great!! Is that the gel stuff on your fingers or are those your natural nails?  You deserve to spend money on yourself and do things that you enjoy.  I like to do the same thing when I am feeling down, if you look good, you will feel good....so the saying goes.  I don't understand when people hurt the people they love, it has happened to me time and time again, I hope you are feeling better and were able to the person know how you feel, so they won't do it again.

Veritee-  I read a little of your blog last night. You sound like a wonderful and caring person, I love your daughters name.  It is so interesting to see what you guys call things vs what we call things here.  Weed works for Queen and I eat like a cow when I smoke so maybe it will help your hubby, it can't hurt to try.

Germangirl-  That is great that you and 27yrs are going to be able to meet.  I hope you have a good time, how close to you guys live to each other?  I have never heard of mineral powder, what does it do?

Cristy- The lipstick lasts for 4 to 6 hours??? Even if you eat and drink?  That is pretty good!  I have to do laundry here today too.

Betty- I hope you like the movie today, if not at least you will have fun with your granddaughter.  I still think you are doing good on the smokes, especially if you can keep it to a couple of cigs a day or a lot less than you were doing when going full force.  Buying one pack is just a speed bump, if you bought a case that would be a different story  ;)

Drag-You should give yourself a huge pat on the back for surviving spinning.  I have only seen it on TV, it looks crueling, I don't think my legs could move that fast.  Last summer when I finally got my bike and bike rack, I got a trailer for the kids to ride in. What a joke!  LOL.  One kid on the back of the bike and 2 riding in the trailer, needless to say, I didn't go much and then I got a flat tire and the kids and I, all I had to walk back to the car  :-\  Jogging, might definately be more my speed. That is one of the reasons I stopped going to the gym, everyone looking like they were dressed up for a date and not to work out and then it seems like all the girls around here are tiny and petite.

Queen- They didn't have any of that sew in on you tube?

Hope everyone has a good day!  It looks yucky out here so I think the trips and I are going to stay in.  My older son is at his fathers for the weekend.

Back from the salon.  I really like the way this lady does my hair.  I don't have to come home, rewash it and restyle it like I used to do with other hairdressers.  I had two really good gay hairdressers in the 90's, but they died from teh Aids.

Veritee, it certainly couldn't hurt your husband to try smoking pot.  It might help his appetite and also help his mood some if he's down.  I would definitely have him try it.  Sorry I forgot to mention that before.

Cristy, what's the name of that lipstick by Maybelline?  I sure would love to have lipstick that would last that long.  It works even when you like drink something (doesn't rub off)?

Germangirl, what kind of makeup is that (brand name)?  Do you have to order it on t.v. or is it at like the drugstore?  I'm sure we probably have it here in the states, just not sure what it's called.

Snow, I can picture that bike with you & all your kids on it.  That sure would be a lot of weight to pull.

Oh, and Keeping, I forgot to say it before-thanks for starting the new thread.

Have a good one ladies.

Hey Ladies---

First, let me say once again, thanks for the support when it comes to my blog. Um, you can always get to my blog by clicking on the link right above the avy dancing that says," The Royal Blog". I figure it would be quicker than clicking on the blogs button at the top of the page. I don't have a problem with my blog being popular, though it surprises me that it seems to be. I guess I didn't want it to be full of criticism. I can delete comments and I am sure most would but I leave the negative comments so people reading can see.

I did get the clothing allowance and did not use it all on the car. I got the car home but it still needs work done to it. I bought the brakes and rotors but has to wait on the rotors to come in. There is a slew of things that the mechanic says needs to be done but my roomie thinks that a lot of it is trumped up. Somehow the rim on the driver's side got bent and it wasn't that way when it went to the mechanics which has me pissed. Between the car and the blog, I was almost in tears yesterday. I used some of my clothing allowance to pay back the friend who lent me the money to get the car out. The money my other friend and son owed me, I used to get the rotors and the brakes. I still have some money left, so I am going to try to buy me a few clothes for this interview coming up. Then I will be broke. I could've posted this info in my blog but I am sure the naysayers would have something to say about that.

Veritee---I would try getting your hubby to smoke a joint just to see how he does with it. See if it will spark his appetite and if it does, have him take it easy on what he may want to eat. His tummy has prolly shrunk and when the munchies kick in, he may want to tackle the fridge. I know last night, I was inhaling all types of food but I try to be careful what I eat since I am diabetic. I was eating a lot of nuts, trail mix, and beef jerky. I haven't gone to the grocery store yet, if I had, I prolly would've been eating salads. What can I say, I am a healthy pothead.... ;) I do have my moments when I crave sugar though.

Funny thing, with eating just the nuts and all, my fasting sugar was 210 this morning. I hurried up and took my pills. I should be checking it again in a few minutes. I love this glucometer, it has my results in 5 secs and I like that it averages the readings for me and let's me put in comments. Betty, it is in an One Touch Ultra 2 and my doc had to call it into the pharmacy. My last glucometer was a One Touch but nothing like this.

I still have to tackle my hair but for now, I am going to do some more gaming.

I have that lipstick from Maybeline, too.  I love it!  The one I get has the lip paint (as I call it) on one end and then a clear gloss on the other.  Betty, that stuff does NOT come off for anything.  I can put it on in the morning and the next morning, it is still there.  They had a new kind today that I got called "forever gloss".  It's the same thing, but a gloss rather than a lipstick.  I've had it on for a few hours, have eaten and drank, it's still there.  It doesn't look like a tube of lipstick.  It has an applicator and you literally paint it on.  Just don't make a mistake..lol...they stay forever, too.  What I like about it is that it doesn't "feather" or dry out my lips.  You pay a little more (just under $7), but it really is quality stuff.

Nothing else exciting has happened today.  We went to the grocery store and came home.  Now Hubby is working on the lawnmower so he can cut the bottom of our hill.  The clouds are rolling in and the wind is really getting cold.  My head is killing me, so rain must be on its way, too.  I've got one more load of laundry to do, but I'm going to wait until the kids come in from playing and throw thier dirty clothes into the mix.  I need to go clean out the boys' dressers so they'll have room to put some short sleeved shirts, but my energy is GONE.

I got a new med today - Priamtene - that's supposed to clear up my brochlear nightmare.  Of course, so were the dozen or so other meds I've tried.  But, according to the nurse, this stuff should do the trick by tomorrow.  We shall see what happens.  I've coughed so much that my chest muscles hurt.  Hubby gave me until Wednesday and then he's threatened to drag me kicking and screaming to Quick Care.  I'll let you know what happens.

Speaking of haircuts, Mini got the cutest cut today.  She wanted it off her ears and her neck and I was afraid the lady would end up scalping her.  I was really suprised!  I'll take a picture of it and post it so you can see.  Not much left to braid, but she can still wear her barretts which is all she wanted anyway.  I need something done to mine, but I'm trying to let it grow out a little bit so I can have a swing bob.  It has just a wee bit more to go.  It's at the stage now where it's starting to get on my nerves and every other day I'm just ready to hack it all off myself.  It needs colored again, too, but I'm trying to hold off until after it gets cut. Otherwise, I'll just have to recolor it.

That's all from this side of the moutains.  Hope all of you are having a wonderful Saturday.

Big hugs and moochies!

Hi GFs~

I am so glad the weekend is here.  I don't have Ice this weekend, but I was supposed to meet "Lil Sis" and her hubby tonight.  Her little one is sick but hubby is insisting that she still go out with me.  I don't think I've ever had a girls' night out in my life, I'm always with "my guy."  Guess its time to have a change.

Queen, I hope you were wrong about the "alias" who commented on your blog.  Did Ann set you straight?  I hope you get your car running soon.

I kicked ass at work doing unGodly amounts of work yesterday.  I mean, I was "aerobic" from doing so much number-crunching, if that's possible.

Snow, Snow, Snow!  I finally checked my mail Thursday night and there was your gift!  Thank you so much for it!  I put it on Friday morning, because I needed all of the strength I could get.  I had it hidden, but then displayed it and a co-worker commented saying she liked it.  I also shared it at group last night.  You are an angel for doing this for us.  :)

Betty, how far are you from Mum?  I wonder how far I am from Mum?  Maybe we'll have to have a meet-in-the middle at Mum's day, lol!  Good job on no smoking.  I have been pigging out on trail mix every night, but covering my sugars pretty well.  Take a short walk or do "stairs" on your stairs for 5 minutes in the evening.  Then, your metabolism will be up and you can pig out.  Or you can have wild sex first, that always works, too!   :P  The sugars will be better afterwards.

Mum, my goodness you have a lot going on with the kids!  Microencephaly (sp?) is it, then?  You were right the entire time.  I hate docs who won't listen.  I can't WAIT to cancel my appt with my bitch doc later this week after I meet the new one.

Camms, sorry things went crazy with Spence.  I guess he just got anxious and nervous and insecure, assuming he KNEW why you wanted to talk.  Sometimes I find it best to just nurture those types, they just need a little reassurance that we aren't always the "typical female" and that we really just want to talk.  Iceman likes to talk, he is as close to a motivational speaker as they get, leading groups and such all of the time.

Drag, I'm here, I'm here, I have just been too tired to post, with it being tax time and all.  I can barely afford groceries now that I have to fill up my gas tank to get to work.  I spend close to $300/month on gas now.

OH, ALMOST FORGOT.  I got my counts back and I am down to 506, still undetectable, and my percentage went down from 36% to 35%.  My cholesterol is improved, which was a surprise.  Probably cause I can't afford groceries, lol.

Love to all of you, and thank you again, Snow!

Viv, did you find a new doc?

Hi to Win, Cristy, Keeping (btw 29 is XXIX crazy girl, and BT gets 30 cause she's our XXX girl, lol).

Ok ladies, back from the movie with granddaughter.  I took her to see that Horton Hears a Who.  It's a really cute movie, though I ended up dozing for a couple seconds twice.  First I took her to Ihop for lunch, then we went to the drugstore to get candy for the theater (the snacks at the movies are outrageous).  All in all, had a good time.  When I went to pick her up, my grandson was yammering on and on.  He's going to be four next month and just talks like there's no tomorrow.  Last week was granddaughter's spring break, and they went to the Cleveland Zoo.  My grandson told me one of the monkeys tried to 'bite his face off.' (hee)  He's so silly.  My granddaughter's having a hard time with my parents' deaths.  I think it's extra hard because of my daughter not being here anymore; extra losses and all.  She's such a sweet thing though and wants to come over and spend the night when she's out of school, which isn't too much longer I believe.  That would be fun.  So it's been a good day, even though the weather sucks big time.  It's only 37 here and raining.  Gawd!!!!!

Queen, you seem to be a bit more up today.  I hope so and am so glad if that's the case.   Those people must have pretty sorry ass excuses for lives if that's all the better they have to do; like I said, fuck 'em.   I did find it interesting that one of them had posted before in these forums about how to 'steal' internet.  Yeah, a real fuckin' angel.

Mum, ok.  You still didn't tell me what the name of the lip stuff is, only the kind you bought.  Maybelline has several different lip things.  I've used a couple (one by Maybelline, one by Covergirl) that are like that.  I just had to be careful when I put on the color; it's easy to mess it up and not so easy to fix.  I'm glad Mini's haircut turned out nice.  I don't have a digital camera or I would have someone take a pic of me.  My bff does, though, and I'll ask her some weekend if she minds doing it and then I'll try to figure out how to post it.

Cin, I have no clue as to what my distance is in relevance to any other part of the country except Michigan, Alabama and Arizona.  That would be really, really excellent if we could all get together someday.  Watch out for anyone who crosses our path, I say, if we do get together.  Mum, if it were to be near you, you would probably have to send hubby away for a few days. ;)  I really can't walk much or do stairs because of my broken kneecaps.  I do exercise 5 days a week and that helps a lot with sugar control.  And yes, the sex (now almost every other weekend) helps also.  But you probably know about that also, now, don't you? ;)  Have fun on your girls' night out.

Ok ladies, off to check out some more threads.  I hope everyone has a wonderful evening.  I'm so full, I feel like purging.  But I won't.  Tonight I'm probably going to stay in and watch 'Traffic.'   Everyone behave!

Hey girls, hope everyone is having a great weekend so far.

Get this, I got a text this morning from spencer and this is what it says:

I reply "yes" but didn't find anything funny about this.

He sends another text:
Thx.  I would still like to have the movie contest (top chef challeneg).  no strings attached.  interested?

I replied, "No, I am not interested".

This guy rips my heart and I get this light hearted text a week later?  What the.....

Hello ladies. Betty, the name of the lipstick is superstay by Maybelline. I got a free sample and really like it. Like Mum said. It's kinda like a paint and then you can get a gloss or balm on the other end. I don't like the gloss but the other one feels like chapstick. Very light. It's about$8   here.  I actually got my mom to take a couple pictures. I will post one of me and Robert for a minute. Good night everyone. Cristy

Taking a break from the game since I am so full. I have been eating trail mix, peanuts, and had chicken salad for dinner. I did drink a glass of Arbor Mist. I feel a bit sluggish. I can't say I am feeling any better mood wise, just feeling disappointed. My gay friend stopped over for a sec and I talked to my other friend on the phone. Other than that, I have not gone out the house for anything. Took a bath around 8ish and may just go to bed early. I may even turn my phone off, I really don't feel like talking to anybody.

So, forgive me if I am not really doing much responding but I am keeping up with everyone. I just really don't have much to say tonight.

Cristy, Robert is a doll! You aren't so bad looking yourself, either ;D  Superstay, yep, that's the stuff I use.  I found Superstay Gloss today and I like it a lot.  It's nearly 11pm here and I've had it on for 12hrs and it's not going anywhere.

We're about 6hrs from Lexington, KY and about 5 to 5 1/2hrs from DC.  Not sure that helps, but we're pretty much stuck here on our mountain far away from civilization.  The good news is that the Primatene is working and I've not felt like I'm suffocating this afternoon. The bad news is that my allergies are in full force so now my head is stuffy, my nose is running, and my eyes are itchy.  Eventually I'm going to run out of body parts to go bad.  I took an allergy pill about 1 1/2hrs ago and it's not really helping much.  I take my last Primatene at 11:30pm then I'm off to bed.

Betty, you and I enjoyed Horton the same way - off in la la land...lol!  We always get the kids' juice, and our water, from the gas station and only buy a large popcorn because it has a free refill and the theater gives us paper cups to put it in.  It's getting nasty here for the next few days with highs in the low 40's and dipping to below freezing at night.  The wind has picked up, too, and is really cold.  Not supposed to get nice again until Thursday.  So, until then, we'll just stay bundled and inside.

Alrighty, I'm going to lurk around in other forums then pop my meds and head to bed.  Everyone sleep well and sweet dreams! :-*

I met up with my GF and we went dancing.  A bunch of people she knew were there, so us crazier ones got out on the dance floor.  There was no room to move and we were jumping up and down like crazy people!  I had a good time, but I did get overheated after about 45 minutes and had to calm my ass down.  I think I am in some pictures that the band took, I'll know in a few days!  Usually all you can see are my tonsils because I sing my head off at these shows, lmao.

Cristy I like the pic, its the first one where I feel like I can really see you.  Robert is a cutie pie, so glad you posted that!

Camms, Spence sounds weak and unsure of himself, with the texts he's sent to you.  I guess its best to either be a den mother or cut him off.  Sounds like you've made your choice.

Mum, you have lipgloss that stays on for 12 hours?  I swear to never buy anything by Maybelline, I like other brands better, but maybe I'll try out the lipgloss that all of you are raving about.  Lord knows I had to keep putting my lips back on tonight, after jumping around and singing.

BT, I'm sorry your granddaughter is having trouble.  It must be so tough.  Sweet of you to take her out to the movies, though!  How could I forget about your damn kneecaps?  Sorry, no stairs for you, lol!  But you get my drift, if you get your metabolism up you can eat through the evening.  I just took my shots but have a feeling I may crash low tonight since I danced and danced earlier.

Queen, sorry you are in a little funk, but sometimes its OK to just chill, you know that.  I have my fingers crossed for that job interview this Tuesday.  I really think it would be good for you.  Funny, I have been eating trail mix and chicken salad, too, this weekend!  ;)

Gotta go sleep GFs.  My sis-in-law and my two nieces are up from Savannah for sis-in-law's sister's wedding.  There is a family get together tomorrow so I am going with the parents and my grandmother.  I haven't seen my parents since Christmas.  That can't be right?  Yeah, its been that long, and they live 20 miles away.  Oh well, I have been busy with work and health probs, and they had the flu for awhile, so I wasn't going to go visit in Feb.  Its supposed to rain here tomorrow and be colder, too.  I don't mind, I like the cold, mid 50s here in DC tomorrow.

Sleep tight.

Morning ladies:

Queen, I hope you're in a better place today.  I hate being down.  Just hang with us.

Mum, I'm not exactly sure where Lexington is, but I'm about 5 1/2 hours from Louisville (north).  I used to travel through Louisville when I'd move down to Alabama (I've lived there 3 times believe it or not).  It's going to be freezing here today, but it's supposed to warm back up starting tomorrow.  Yeah, snacks at the movies are just too expensive.  They make a fortune, that's for sure.  Just for the two of us to get in yesterday, it was $11.50.  Unbelievable.

Cin, I'm so glad you had fun.  You don't like Maybelline?  Why not?  I really like they're nailpolish that dries in like 2 minutes; can't remember exactly what it's called (it's early here).   I did just switch foundations to L'Oreal's True Match.  My bff swears by Elizabeth Arden, but who can afford that.

I've decided I'm going to church this morning.  If it were a 'normal' church, I wouldn't go.  But, my church is more of a social justice place than anything.  There's no fire and brimstone there, none of that 'we don't deserve God's grace' crap.  I hate that kind of stuff.   Last summer, a group of us from my church and other organizations in town tried to get employment discrimination written into the city's code for LGBT folks.  My pastor and several others spoke to the city council about it/their own experiences.  Of course, being in the red neck conservative area I live in, it didn't pass.  But, the folks at my church do stuff like that all the time.  Most of the people who attend are LGBT as well.  There are hetero's there, but they're not the majority.  They're also always speaking/writing to the government about social/equality issues.  So I like it.  I'd rather make a difference than lay guilt on people.

This afternoon, there's a get-together for the women in NA in this area which I'm going to.  There's a lot of strong women there and it helps me quite a bit.  In May, over Memorial Day weekend, our area (of NA) is having a convention that I'm going to.  It's at a camp area, so it's usually very relaxed compared to the conventions they have in hotels.  I really don't expect to get laid, but one can hope. :)

Other than that, nothing else going on.  I hope everyone has a good morning.  Off to check out a few threads and get ready.

Edited to add:  I really, really like that picture Cristy.  Thanks for showing us.

I can finally BREATHE (again)!  We'll see if the current regiment works for more than a couple of days.  The others started out good enough, but within 2 days I was back to suffocating with a rock in my chest.  I'll let you know.

Cin, you really should try the lipgloss.  I just got out of the shower and it's still there.  Not as bright as it is when I put it on yesterday morning, but you can tell it's still there.  Lipstick / gloss and moisturizer are the only makeup I wear.  I'm not georgous by any standard, I'm just cheap and lazy.

Betty: our movie theater lowered its prices after last summer.  It's one of those with stadium seats and a cool sound system.  It's also the only one within 45 miles of us - and it's still over 20 miles away.  Last summer, it was $5.50 for a matinee and $7.00 after 6pm.  Now they've lowered it to $3.50 for matinee and $5.50 after 6pm. That makes it a lot more reasonable for us to see a movie.  Plus, they don't make us pay for Sarah.  So less than $25 for the 8 of us to see a movie isn't too terrible.  We don't go often, but try to go every  3 or 4 months if there's something they can watch.

Well, ladies, I need to get breakfast for the kids and the gang ready to head out to church.  I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Moochies,
Mum

Mum-
I am glad you are feeling better.  I knew I forgot to mention someone the other day, I am so glad you found out what was going on with your little one. That must be such a relief finally to have the docs paying attention to what you have been saying.

Moon-  I used to dance around like that back in the day too :)  There are no good dance places to go to around here anymore.  I am glad you liked your necklace  ;D  What was the name of the chicken and cranberry?? something you mentioned before that you got at Walmart, I was looking yesterday for it but I couldn't find it?

Cristy- Great pic!  I only got to see the one with you.  I am going to try the lip stuff too even though everytime I do I get 20 questions? You have makeup? Who you getting dressed up for? LOL!  I sware its like clockwork.

Betty- I like the sound of your church.  I have shyed away from church since a young age because I feel like a church is a place where people should be accepted no matter what. The church I went to growing up I watched the minister giving more attention to the people who dressed nice or came from a certain area.  I hate that kind of shit.  I am going to try to post a pic of my tat, it is on my left shoulder.  I know we all talked bout tats before and I have to figure out where to get my next one? or maybe I should just add on to this one, I want to get the trips names since I have my oldest son.  Oh, I checked mapquest I am about 15 hrs from Louisville.  My mother might go down there with her friend this summer, maybe I can catch a ride :)

Queen- I LOVE trail mix. When I was hiking a lot we used to call it GORP.  Good ol raisins and peanuts.  I can't eat it anymore cuz one of the kids is allergic to nuts  :-[  Hope you are feeling better today!

It ended up being a nice day here with only a little rain yesterday.  I cleaned and did some laundry in the morning and then took the kids to Walmart and the park.  I was exhausted when I got home and didn't take my meds to this morning cuz I fell asleep early.  I felt a little woozy earlier but I think it will be OK.  My parents are picking up my oldest for me and it is raining today so who knows what we will do? I know I have more laundry to do, it just never ends.

Phew, good thing, I copied before I try to add a pic, it didn't work, I have to figure out how to resize the pic?
Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

So, I am back from my friend's house.
Yesterday my friend and I met 27years in a chinese restaurant, we talked about 2 hours, just English. I was really exhausted after it. ;D

Snow: She lives near the place where my friend lives, so I could meet her. It's about 100kilometer from my place.
The mineral  powder seem to be better for the skin becaus it is all natural and you look more natural.

Have a look here:http://www.sheercover.com/

Betty: My powder is from chrimadeluxe minerals, have a look her:
http://www.chrimaluxe-minerals.de/

But sheer cover should be better, the link is posted above. In Germany sheer cover is very expensive, more than the double price than in the USA.

If I lived in the USA I would buy it there.

Afternoon ladies:

Mum, I hope you're still able to breathe a little easier.  You really should consider going to a doctor for maybe maintenance allergy meds.  That's my professional opinion. :)

Snow, I have no idea on how to resize pictures.  If I ever remember, I'm going to have my bff take a pic of me with her digital camera and send it to me.  And the only time I don't wear makeup is if I know it's going to be a 100% stay at home day.  I look pretty darn scarey without it.

Germangirl, I'm glad you had a good time with your friend.  I would like to try that sheer cover sometime.

Well, in about an hour I'll be going to an NA (Narcotics Anonymous) 'sisterhood' meeting.  I think I already posted that though. :-\  I'm looking forward to it.  My sponsor informed me she cooked bbq ribs; there's also going to be spaghetti and potato salad.  And my sponsor also told me she made me up a plate to go with homemade greens and fresh fried corn (which I've never had).  I'm so hungry right now; I hope they plan on eating straight away.

Not much else to report.  Tomorrow I have got to do that report for school.  I haven't even started on it.  Ugh.  Have a good afternoon ladies.  I'll be back later, I'm sure.

Good Luck with your report.  Potato salad sounds so good, I have been in the mood for that lately! I hope you have a good meeting and get lots of good eats.

I went into edit, lets see if I stretched it right :)

Hey girls,
I have been reading all your posts, and I was a little overwhelmed with all of them. Good thing the posts are underneath me while I am typing, so I can go back and look at them all if I wanted to respond. But for this first post, I just wanted to say hi. I added my own topic introducing myself, so if you haven't read that, please do, you will learn all about my ordeal :)
Today I am just relaxing. It's my only day off since last sunday and then til friday. I hope you all are having a good sunday!

Good afternoon ladies!  I just got up from my hour and a half nap.  I feel like I could sleep another 2 or 3.

Betty: I have allergy pills that I can take and also veramist that I used every night.  Everything makes me sleepy, so taking all of it together has been knocking me on my butt pretty hard.  Primatene has done wonders for keeping my airways open and my lungs clear.  My chest is still sore, but I'm breathing. BBQ sounds so good.  I bought stuff to put on the grill this week, but of course, we could get snow tonight or tomorrow.  I guess I'll have to start checking the weather forcast before I go grocery shopping. :-\

Snow: Nice tatoo.  How in the world did you get a picture of your left shoulder?  You could almost add 1 more flower to it and the trips names if you didn't want to get a seperate one with them.

I'm sitting in my warm fuzzies and lovin' life with my glass of water and sunflower seeds.  I'll need to get the kids ready to go back to church in a little while.  We took last week off for our "spring break" and personally, I'm not wanting to start back tomorrow. But, alas, we only have a few more weeks left until we're done for the year.  I'm just as bad as the kids.  Laundry is calling my name, too, but it'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Nothing else going on.  It's been a really quiet afternoon.  Hope everyone is staying warm!
Lots of lovin'!
Mum

Hi ladies,

CRISTY, LOVE YOUR PIC & HAIRCOLOR. I DIDNT GET TO SEE THE ONE OF ROBERT.

sorry caps lock, not shouting, but am too tired to retype.

Betty cigarette smoking is the hardest habit to give up. But you can do it, give it time. in another thread I read that its been just a couple years for you, you've done really great for yourself.

Pink, welcome on board.

Snow I love your tattoo. wish mine were on my shoulder blades.

Cindy nice to hear you still party... can't remeber my last dancing must've been more than a year ago.

Mom, am not wanting to start back tomorrow either have meeting with boss and he is always so pushy and competetive.... I am so, so, not ambitious anymore. I just want to get by.

Went to gym and am exauhsted. i dont know if i'll continue with spinning, i can handle it but my knee hurt and that's not good and has nothing to do with muscles cramping. I am used to jogging in the park, that's something I do since the age of 20 except when I was smoking heavily. I am quit fit but it doesnt help with the weight.

Sat I bought a bikini and its 2 sizes larger than last time which was 1.5 years ago. I went for black so i can use self tan - no more days in the sun for me. My BF (now officially fiance) got me a ring, it's too big and we'll change it tomorrow, I really like it its very thin with 4 tiny tiny stones. It's amazing and I can't quite believe it. Not the ring the fact that I'm engaged.

Hugs to all of you and have a great evening,

Hi all. Just checking in. I have been reading all the post and trying to keep up. Things are just kind of boring right now. Not a lot to talk about. I have not started to look for another doctor yet. I am the queen of procrastinatio so I will probably get to it soon... :)

I'm glad to hear everyone is doing well.

Welcome Pink!  ;D

Congratulations!!!!! DragI am so happy for you!!

Mum- I had the camera in one hand and did the elbow to opposite hands stretch  ;D  Thanks, thats a good idea, I don't get to look at it often and was just thinking the same thing.

I had a big scare today.  My Mom and Dad came this afternoon, and my Dad came into my office to see the dog and I thought for a second I left the forum up on the computer but I had logged out.  I came running in after he came out and my screen saver was up  :P......onto my embarrassing moment, I asked him(my Dad) if a wall in my kitchen was load bearing because I have been thinking of putting up a counter the kids can sit at and one of my cabinets is loose so he climbs up on a stool to look at it and there were 2 pornos on top of the cabiniet  :o LOL.  Ooops.

My parents took my car and the kids and went to the park, this is the first time anyone has taken them without me having to go too  ;D  Geez, I don't know what to do with myself.  ;D

Welcome, Pink  ;D  :D  ;D  :D

Evening ladies,

Snow, I like your tatt.  If I could, I'd take pictures of all of mine and post them (8).  Of course, a couple of them are in inconspicuous places. ;)  I almost spit out my tea when I read about your father finding that porn.  I'm still laughing now.  I'm glad you got some time to yourself.  That's important.

Mum, I really hope you get this allergy crap under control soon.  It must be horrible to have constant sinus/chest congestion.

Drag, you got the ring, eh?  Congratulations girl!  You must be so excited.  About the bikini thing.... you've got more guts than I do.  Of course, I'm sure you look better in one than I do also.  I wouldn't put on a bikini even to lay out on my porch by my door.  I probably will lay out in the sun this summer.  Skin cancer be damned.  I'm sure I'll feel differently the first time I have a spot taken off.  My dad had skin cancer a lot, my sisters have both had places taken off etc.  What can I say, I'm stubborn.

Pink, once again, welcome.  I did read you intro thread.  Glad you're with us.

Viv, I procrastinate sometimes until the last possible second.  I have yet to find anything that works to motivate me.  Good luck though.  Having a good doctor that you can trust and talk openly with is so important.

Well, my brother will be here in about 45 minutes for the Sunday night hog-out/video fest.  I'm still full from dinner.  The bbq ribs, spaghetti and potato salad were great.  Tomorrow, back to the drawing board.

Hi GFs~

Still chuckling over Dad finding Snow's porn, lol.   :D  The chicken salad with cranberries and walnuts is made by South Beach.  It costs about $2.50 at Walmart, you mix it together yourself, comes with wheat pita chips.  Look for it near the packaged lunch meats in the refrigerated section...in white boxes with blue writing "South Beach 'Living.'"

Welcome, Pink.  Just keep reading every other day or so and you'll get to know us better.  You don't have to reply to all of us, it can be overwhelming at first!  Glad you have decided to say Hello!  :)

Drag~ Congrats on getting the ring, it seems official now, doesn't it?  My damn finger is aching for a ring, but all things in due time.  I have found myself a good man, but I'm not sure if he wants to marry again or what.  I am hopeful, and at this moment, I am happy, that's all that really matters.

Mum, you sound like you are in a great mood!  I am so glad that you are getting some kind of relief!  Maybe one day I'll go on a "trail ride" and try to find your place.  I'll have to pack food and water for the trip, but that's ok, lol.  I have been to Camp Jeep and Jeep Jamborees, so I can get through just about anything, lol.  Sounds like the lipstick you're wearing is one of those that "stains" your lips, I have tried them before but they always caked up and dried out.  Seems now that all of the cosmetics companies are selling the "gloss" part to put on over the color to keep your lips mousturized.  I think Revlon has some out now, too!   :-*

BT is getting fed tonight at the meeting, that's always good.  Make sure you get that metabolism up if you eat all those carbs.  I forget if you're on insulin or pills.  I keep thinking Lantus?.......I tried Maybelline a few times over the years and have found that the lipsticks and esp the foundations were just greasy.  The quick-dry polish would dry quick, but peel off the next day.  I have been wearing L'Oreal's "True Match" for about three years now.  Revlon's stuff is good, too!

Cristy~  Ahhh, now I can see you!  Nice to put a face with the founder of this infamous thread!  You look great!

Viv, good luck with finding a doc, just check online sometime and get your feelers out.

German, thanks for the make-up links.  I wonder if they will come up on my computer?  So many things are ".com" here in the US and I see ".de" on one link.  I'll have to try it and let you know!

Oh, and yes, I am almost out of GORP  :(  but I have chicken salad......Yummy, quick dinner!

I saw my sis-in-law and my two nieces, ages 7 and 5 today.  You wouldn't believe how gorgeous they are!  They have my brother's coloring, light brown hair and blue eyes, with their mother's skin and almond-shaped eyes.  She is half Korean.  It was so good to see them today!

~ Cindy

Cin, I'm on Lantus 30 units p.m., plus 1000 mg Glucophage twice a day.  Oh, and I have Humulin R for 'emergencies.' ;)

I doubt I'll be doing anything this evening to amp up my metabolism.  My brother always brings these 'magnificent muffins' made by a local supermarket on Sundays.  So, I'll probably eat one of those.  Oh, and I brought home a plate of food from the meeting today.  Like I said gf, tomorrow's another day.

Edited to add:  yes, I've tried Maybelline's age reverse or whatever it's called foundation, and it made my skin greasy as well.  I do use a top coat with any nail polish I use, so it doesn't chip as fast.

Oh shit, us diabetics must be craving the same things lately, lol.

I just ate 5 mini-muffins from Walmart, 10 carbs each.

Now I am off to find the last of my trail mix.  No, not the kind that's just all nuts, the kind with the choc chips in it, of course!  LOL

I need to start getting on my treadmill, ugh!

Not much to report here either. I still haven't taken my hair down, I just don't feel like it. I'll do it tomorrow after I come in from my doctor's appointment, if they don't cancel it again. I have been in the mood for potato salad too but still haven't made it to the grocery store yet..*sighs*..Had pizza tonight. I watched The Tudors and am now watching John Adams. I should say it is really watching me. Just don't have much of an interest in anything lately. And I haven't been posting much because I really don't want to be a drag(no pun intended).

Welcome Pink and Germangirl. Betty, How was the fried corn? I love fried corn. I can't wait for it to get warmer so we can have shrimp on the barbie and corn on the cob on the grill. I still haven't heard anything about the house, I will have to call my landlord tomorrow to find out. I did get my paperwork I sent in back from Section 8 so hopefully I will hear something from them soon.

Drag – Thank you LOL Bridgette Jones

Veritee, germangirl – Thank you. I live in North Texas. USA
Its still a little cool to go in the pool unless you’d like your lips to turn blue. We don’t heat the pool, it just costs too much. We really only use it a few months out of the year and its mainly for social things. If we where to move we wouldn’t have another pool unless we had a bunch of money. The tall fence and privacy with the pool is nice though.
I switched my makeup to mineral powder sometime last year. I like the natural look with makeup. I still get zits and blemishes though. But its not sheer cover it’s a drug store knock off.

Snowangel – They are called solar nails. My nails dont grow very long. They peel and break easy even though I take vitamins. I didn’t do anything to resolve the hurt feelings I just kinda ignored it till I didn’t think about it anymore.
I told the person immediately after they said what hurt me that I think it would be best if we don’t talk right now and hung up the phone on them and haven’t really spoken to them since. I know they understood. Its up to them if to decide they where wrong or at least to know saying such things hurts me so they shouldn’t do it.

Cindy – I am fighting the urge to say congrats on your counts just cause Im jealous you have so many tcells. LOL Dont sweat the dip in numbers, if you feel good that’s all that matters.

camille07 – he sure has a huge pair of balls that Spencer

Cristy – That’s a pretty picture. I especially like that it was taken in the future. 2046.

Mum- I’m glad your feeling better

pink_beauty – hello back atcha and welcome

I just got home from the VA emergency room. My sweetie fell off a ladder a couple of weeks ago and was in horrible pain tonight. They didn’t really do much for him.
We went on a road trip this weekend to Houston for his nephew’s wedding. I’ve got pictures I’ll post them tomorrow I think.

I gotta get off this computer and show him some attention. LOL night ladies.

Morning all,

Queen have seen the Tudors on BBC here, I love that jonatahn rice something guy, if you like these epic stuff, have you watched Marie Antoinette?

Viv, I forgot why you're looking for another doc? seems lots of people are looking to change. I had not option of that, unless I wanted a long train ride to another city, so I made my doctor change. we're still working on it  ;) and he has shown a lot of improvement. I am glad to say my formerly grumpy and unbothered male nurse practitioner has also improved a lot. I've had my fair share of crying, cussing and frustration since starting with these people, but now things are much better. I am sure they think i changed, and I probabaly did too...

Win, yesterday my mum skyped me and at first I thought something bad happened, I mean real bad, she was upset and almost stuttering about a fight I thought she had a huge one with my dad, it turns out her best friend since high school has really really hurt her by ignoring her birthday after a bunch of incidences. This friend is really rich and still freeloads off everyone, she will always ask to borrow money and then forget to pay it or refuse to order and then eat everyone's food, she will get pissed if she is not the center of attention like if my mum went somewhere with my dad and didn't tell her... in short she is a spoilt little rich girl all grown up. so my mum was so upset it was very sad for me to hear her like that. I didnt know what to tell her, except that when people lash out with hurtful things they say or do (or don't do in this case) intentionally (not in the heat of the moment) it's not b/c they are happy and fulfilled but the contrary....

Betty it's nice to be fed isn't it and that NA food sounds like real comfort food. who could resist that.

Cindy we have become quite the beauty product review here but I dont have tips cos although I accumulated many products most days I dont use them unless something special is going on. Bout the ring, it took a long time coming and although between myself I am amazed, between us we discussed it so many times. It was never the romantic surprise proposal by any means. I hardly think BF would have thought of marriage had I not used sophisticated hypnotic techniques to plant and activate the concept in his mind. Of course he has never been married b4 though. Seriously though in due time I beleive Ice will do the right thing. or you will make him do the right thing   :-* I sound all cool about it now but truth is I was anxious about him maybe never wanting to get married for quite a while, but at the same time it came to a point that I was 100% sure I would want to be with him forever with no marriage or children. I guess this is the point when he also realized that we're so committed that it almost doesnt matter if we get married or not, so why the hell not. And of course he also did it to make me happy, cos I dont think he cares if he is married or not.

Snow porn on the kitchen cabinet  :o ;D. Yes that is an embarassing moment but funny as hell.  I havent seen printed porn in ages but I'd rather in print than online. I like to be in some control of what I am seeing I don't want all kinds of alarming stuff popping up. Literally  :P But you can always pretend you dont know what it was doing there esp if the house wasnt always yours. I'm glad you had some free time afterwards, to reunite with your forgotten porn  :P

OK this was qute a ramble (term coined by Veritee) for right b4 physio, social worker, work and meeting with boss.
Have a great day/week everyone

Drag, That would be Jonathan Rhys Meyers who plays Henry VIII and I have watched Marie Antoinette and am watching it again now. I have seen it so many times that I am hoping it will put me to sleep. But I like movies like that. Have you watched Elizabeth I withe Helen Mirren, that was good too. Well, I am off to try to get some sleep.

Hie everyone!

Drag - CONGRATULATIONS ON THE RING! How about that? soon to be mrs.x? cool. i'm so thrilled for you! whats spinning by the way? i had this picture of people lying on the floor going round and round like those break-dancers. then someone mentioned bicycles...

Queen - i read your blog. sheesh. some people..  Keep your head up girl and u do whats best for you...

Snow - talk about embarrassing!

Betty - tsk tsk. too bad about the smoking. maybe dont quit totally. just cut down drastically or something so u dont crave it so much or something.

Camms - sorry about Spencer. WTF? maybe just ignore him completely and dont let him play with your heart. the nerve of him..

Win - love the nails. i have NEVER EVER had a manicure or pedicure done in my life...For one thing i bite my nails and i also tend to scratch myself or stab myself quite painfully with my nails if they get long and i hate that.  I was thinking that the lady in the office next door would despair of me if she knew that, what with the way she went on about my haircut.  Hows Billy doing after his fall?

We are still in limbo here in Zim.  16 days after voting still no results. Its obvious Mugabe wont relinquish power and the stupid elections council are either afraid of him or they have been paid off.  Why the delay? Now they are saying they are waiting for the courts decision. as if the matter had to court in the first place. the court is still quiet up to now. Mugabe wants  a recount. a recount was only legal had it been apllied for 48 hours after results are posted outside polling stations. its now more than 2 weeks and the stupid elections council wants to recount now? after they disappear in the middle of the night with the ballot boxes? what was going on with the boxes during that time. its obvious whatever recount will be done will have ZANU win. and how there be a recount when we dont even know what the official results are? what is is about Mugabe?? what? do they see some demon or something when they look at him? why are they so afraid of him? i just dont understand it.  the MDC has planned a stay-away as from Tuesday so everyone should stay at home. i will stay at home because u may get into town but u wont be able to get back home by public transport. there just may be violence. or not. either way im staying at home. might make a powerful statement if everybody does the same. hopefully by the time we get home today the stupid high court would have finally gotten its stupid head out of its stupid ass and DOES SOMETHING. How can one man hold the whole country at ransom like this. Manipulating the law and constitution to suit him, its ridiculous. We can only hope and pray. the SADC leaders are a joke! South Africa's Mbeki worst of them all, no wonder he lost to Zuma as head of the ANC. Useless toothless bulldog. These SADC countries are benefitting from the cheap Zimbabwean labour they are getting from illegal immigrants and their shops are thriving with money from Zimbabwean customers, so they are benefitting from Mugabes reign. Jerks.
Ok im starting to foam at the mouth. think i'll sign off here. later ladies..

Ladies, after an incredibly rough night, I'm leaving for Quick Care in half an hour.  I'm not real happy about it - I just know I'm gonna pay a butt-load of money (we have no insurance) for them to tell me I'm congested.  I do believe I have an infection in my right ear and am now worried that I waited myself right into pneumonia.  At least then, I'd get my money's worth. ;)  I'll let you know what happens.

Good morning ladies:

Tendai, every time I hear of what's going on where you live I am just dumbfounded.  I can't imagine what you have to live with each and every day.  I'm really, really hoping that that bastard Mugabe gets thrown right off the power wagon.  It's very strange how some people can seem to have a hold over everyone and everything.  Please, please let us know what's going on with you.  I'm sure once it's all settled it will be on the news over here in the states, but let us know how you're doing, please.  We are concerned.

Queen, omg.  I loved the fried corn.  I had never had it before.  I'm going to ask the lady how she made it (or you could tell me).  She also made some greens that were excellent also.  She is quite the cook and is the one who made the bbq ribs I had yesterday.  I brought home a plate of the food from yesterday also, which I'm sure I'll devour today.

Wendy, when people hurt my feelings, I ask myself if it was intentional; if I believe it was, then I ask myself how important it is (to hang onto or retaliate).  You handled it very well.  I hope Billy's feeling better soon.  I remember you telling us about him falling off the ladder.

Drag, 'sophisticated hypnotic techniques?'  You were kidding, weren't you?  I read that and thought, 'shit, I better not ever mess with her.'  (hee)  I'm happy for you.  When are you guys looking at tying that knot?

Well, back to not smoking.  I put a patch on last night, and I haven't had a cigarette yet today.  I don't dare smoke with the patch on; I did that once and ended up throwing up nicotine.  So, I suppose I'll exercise this morning before breakfast.  Then I'm off to the library to get material to do my report with for school.  That will probably take me the rest of the day.

My brother and I are watching 'The Wire' from when it first started.  He's renting the DVDs for us to watch.  So, last night I saw the very first two episodes.  I just love that show.  McNulty was into shit right from the beginning.

Nothing else to report right now.  Everyone have a good morning and I'll be back later.

Mum, you posted the same time I did.  Please let us know what happens.

Mum good luck at the hospital. hope its not too serious.

Betty - the court said it wont force the results to be announced.  MDC has made another application in court. doubt if it will work if this is the trend.  no wonder people are talking about war. the only way to get rid of a dictator is not by the ballot box it seems. look at Saddaam, Hitler, Pinoche etc. I hope Bob know his history books and pays attention. he is not immortal no matter how much he thinks he is. meantime everything keeps going up and salaries keeping still or not rising in tune with inflation. its 30million for a ride into town now. bet u next week it'll be 50mil.  they want the new 50mil note thats been printed now, so they dont have problems finding change to give passengers. the night is darkest just before dawn. unless of course its going to be night time for 5 more years. hope not. we really need all the prayers u can send girl.  Good luck with the new round of non-smoking!
