What a mess!
« on: March 13, 2008, 12:52:10 AM »
Got news today that my cousin was picked up for sexual assault. ???

I thought I was the bad apple of the family when I came out and said I was gay and had AIDS.

I have another cousin that is in a Federal Prison for robbing a bank.

Also another one that was dating a 13 year old girl and was put into prison just a few months ago. He was a minster of a local church.

What a fucked up family!

You are not alone about having a fucked up family. Mine are far from perfect. Now remember I am adopted but also tries to co exist with my biological sibs. My biological brother has been in jail so many times that once a guard told him they would be seeing him again and they did. He was there so much it could have been his address. The only reason he is not in jail now is because his health is getting bad due to diabetes and him not taking care of himself. In his case he feels it to be a curse but it could be taken as a blessing in disguise.

Then there is my one biological sister who thinks she's still in her 20's though her body says otherwise(she's actually 40 something) and tries to compete for her daughters' men. The reality is she is about a buck 50 overweight, diabetic and has COPD. Back when she was married, her husband use to pimp her out for money and the kicker was, it wasn't to support a drug habit. Try and figure that one out. Then after she got rid of the hubby she was tricking for herself. Got knocked up, tried many ways to get rid of my nephew then another one of her tricks made a proposition to pay her if she would name him as the father even though he knew he wasn't. I guess what they say about God doesn't like ugly is true...God took baby Joshua with help from my sister who was drinking, taking the day after pills, falling down steps, and even sticking things in her to lose the baby before the proposition. Baby Joshua was a miracle just by being born though he was born with many medical problems.

So you are not alone my friend. I could go on about other family members but this is your thread and I don't want to hijack it any more than I have with talking about my family.

Hmmmm.. you're not definitely alone.. suffice to say that because of a fight over one of my aunt's will after she died like 2 years ago we're not in talking to all except one of mother's siblings' families, including my cousins. In hindsight it's SUCH A BLESSING....

There's an old saying,
We don't get to choose our relatives; only our friends.

Wow, Jerry.  Like the Damned One said, thank heavens you're normal.

It sounds like it could be on helluva movie though.

I think every family has their Springer element, some are just better at hiding it than others...

Well my cousin has a bail bond set at $275,000.00 which there is no way he can or his folks can get him out on that.

He is also wanted in another state on another charge.

I agree.
I heard someone say "You can't choose the family you are born into"....and thats true too.
I think that my being gay was probably the Springer element in my family because it sure was swept under the rug a lot.
