How can I go about getting these laws legislated?
« on: March 09, 2008, 12:26:13 PM »
I want there to be laws making it a crime not to get tested for AIDS every 6 months. I feel that not getting an AIDS test is equivalent to murder and you should be charged as such. Not getting tested for AIDS is a crime against humanity. They say that people who have AIDS and don't know it infect 100-200 people with AIDS. They say that people who don't get tested for AIDS are more likely to have Anti-Social Personality Disorder, and they should be tested for ASPD upon entering prison.

I pray to god that the United States government will impliment these laws, but I don't know how to get the support for it.

Hellllp.

That's a pretty incredible statistic you have there jammerz.  Perhaps you could post some backup for it?

Looking at the official govt stats posted at the CDC, they estimated about 1.1 million people living with HIV/AIDS in 2003 with about 25% unaware of their infections.

http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/topics/surveillance/basic.htm#hivest

So let's call it 250,000 people who have HIV/AIDS and don't know it.  At 100-200 infections per person your statistic would suggest they will generate 25 million to 50 million infections in the US, or up to 1 in 6 Americans?  Seems a little high when compared against the 2 million or so cumulative infections to date.  Perhaps a little more research into the basis of your statistic is in order.

By the way, have you been tested for HIV?  And what was the result?  Perhaps you could tell us a little more about yourself.

Regards

If it's a "crime against humanity" why aren't you asking for every citizen to be tested on a daily basis.

Oh, right -- this thread isn't based on any rational concept of reality.
